The Aztecs Worshipped the Sun For a Reason You Know?

The once great Aztec Empire completely controlled and dominated what is now Honduras, San Salvador, Guatemala and Mexico for centuries. They were Sun Worshippers. The Aztec God was in the form of Energy and that energy was the Sun. What did the Aztecs know that we don't know?

They worshiped the Sun and believed and its Gods in the form of pure energy, yet 500 years later in the United States of America next door to where the Aztec Empire was ruled MesoAmerica we have forgotten all they had learned. Instead of using the Sun for our energy we have set of giant power plants, which indeed have served us well however, now we find out to that they often put out too much hydrofloralcarbons HFCs.

Perhaps we should take a little advice from the Aztecs and develop more solar power to help offset the needs of our civilization. The United States of America leads the world in research and development of energy and our DepArtment of Energy with its massive resources of funding help us stay on the leading edge of the latest technologies.

Today the cost to build solar cells has come down using new high-tech materials it behooves us to put the solar power to work in our homes, small businesses and government agencies. Perhaps we should use the technology and knowledge of the past and the promising technologies of the future in the present period. The Aztecs would've loved the idea of solar cells and we should to. Consider this in 2006.

Horoscopes Capricorn

In this Tenth of a 12 part series on Horoscopes, we're going to look at the first of what are called the winter signs, Capricorn the Goat.

People who are born between December 22 and January 21 are Capricorns. It's pretty lonely at the top, which is pretty much where goats are. They love their solitude. They're very ambitious, organized, efficient and responsible. The flip side of that is they can be very cold, calculating, suspicious and rigid. They are also their own worst critics. A Capricorn will beat himself up over just about anything that he doesn't believe he has done as best as possible. So no need to point out their shortcomings. They will do it for you in spades.

The Capricorn must have security at all costs. In order to get this security they will step on anyone who gets in their way. This is an odd mix with a sign that can also be very kind. At the same moment they're telling you that you have a nice shirt they'll immediately follow that remark with a command to get out their way so they can go to the men's room. They are certainly odd in that respect. The good thing about a Capricorn is that if you have done them a favor, they will be forever in your debt. They never fail to repay an act of kindness.

A Capric orn needs approval from the whole world. So finding one who will commit to loving one person is not easy. But if you can find your way to their sense of humor, you will also find your way to their heart. This isn't an easy thing to do as their sense of humor is very dry. But once you've figured it out, half the battle is won. Once you are able to finally make your way to a Capricorn's heart, you have a very good chance of having it for life.

At the job, goats love to be in charge. Because of this, they make very good managers. Many rags-to-riches stories that you hear will involve a goat. They take great pride in being able to overcome adversity and turning nothing into something great. Howard Hughes and Aristotle Onasis were both Capricorns. These were two of the richest men of their time.

As goats get older their lives become more rewarding. It is rare to see a goat losing fame and fortune as he gets older. They are very shrewd businessmen and know how to invest. As a result, as the years go by they only become more successful. Because of this, many goats live long lives because they become more relaxed as they get older.

The Sun: Astrological Effects and Remedies

A brilliant globe of light rising on the eastern horizon and setting in the west with unerring regularity called the sun has awe-inspired mankind since its inception. This sole sustainer of terrestrial life undergoes constant fusion reaction on its surface as per modern science in which two atoms of hydrogen fuse together to form one atom of helium and in the process an incredible amount of energy is released. Astrological Remedies for the Sun If Sun is negatively disposed in a particular horoscope due to either malefic placement, aspect or conjunction proper remedies can be performed to ward off the evil. These can be performed especially in the major or sub-periods of the Sun.

Mani : A good quality Ruby of at least 5.25 Ratti or 5 carat weight approximately can be worn in a gold ring on a Sunday. The weight of the stone should be in accordance with the power of the planet to bring evil to the concerned person.

1. Trial : First one should keep the stone for 2-3 days below his head while sleeping and look out for the indications he may receive in the form of dreams or otherwise. Then the stone can be worn in red cloth on arm or in the ring only after proper Shuddhi(purification).

2. Shuddhi(Purification) : The stone should be purified wi th snana(bathing) in pure water, unboiled milk, honey, curd, pure ghee and lastly in the Ganges water. Then Dhoopa, Deepa(incense) should be shown before wearing the stone. During Shuddhi(purification) of the stone one should constantly chant Surya Mantra to seek the blessings of the Sun God.

Fasting : This is also an effective remedy. While fasting for the Sun one should eat only once which can be sweet but salt is to be avoided. Something made of guda can be eaten. For the rest of the day one can take fruits, milk etc. fasting on Sunday in the aforesaid manner is said to ward off the evil. In my opinion, fasting should be continued for the whole of the astrologically affected period.

Charity : One should perform charity on Sundays for seeking positive effects of the Sun. For this purpose, one should donate red Articles like clothes, pulses etc. in the quantities of a whole and a quarter(1 ). This can also be continued without break on Sundays.

Ja pa(Chanting) : Japa(chanting) of the Surya mantra can be performed with complete austerities. Usually, the number can be one hundred and twenty five thousand(125,000) but can also be its half depending on the power of the Sun.

Surya Mantra : Om hraang hreeng hraung sah suryaya namah.

One should fix the number, place and time of the Japa(chanting) for daily routine and strictly adhere to it. A Raktachandan Mala(rosary) and a woolen asana can be used for the purpose. One who performs Japa(chanting) should be a Brahmin and know the correct pronunciation of the mantra from an able guru.

Astrological remedies can work wonders if performed carefully and their power should never be underestimated.

A Tale of Two Enemies : Sun and Saturn

In astrology Sun and Saturn are considered enemies of each other. The gods or the demi-gods cannot behave like mortals. So we have to analyse the concept of enemies in a context and appropriate meanings. The Sun is truth, Sun is Knowledge; Sun is light. It is the place where our ancestors would ultimately go. After vasu and rudra , where our fathers are believed to have attained the status and receive pinda from us, the ultimate loka or state comes Aditya . Vasu rupe~, Rudra rupe~ and finally Aditya Rupe~.. The Sun is the embodiment of all gods. He is the ultimate. He is the destroyer of sins.

The concept of sin is co-terminus with the life we live in this world. The past actions which are sinful, in our past lives give the results of miseries in this present world. The miseries depend upon the degree of sins we committed in our past lives. There two gods who are attributed with the quality of destroying ones sins. Firstly- Lord Shiva. Secondly the demi god Sun. It is easier to pray Lord Shiva and wash out our past sins. But the Second way is tougher one. Adithya is not easier to please. He is a strict disciplinarian. In the first and easier way of pleasing Lord Shiva, there are chances of we committing sins again. But the Second and tougher way is final.

It is born out of ultimate truth, knowledge and karma. It is this tough path that is chosen by the Rishis in doing tapasya. ( For detailed study see concept of sin). Step by step one attains the state of Aditya and his material life comes to an end, which is the goal of all truth seekers. It is the freedom from bondage of birth and re-births. It is the attainment of god-hood.

The Sun burns everything. Our ignorance, our beliefs, our knowledge, which are born out of lies, images, maya , which is thrown by Rahu on our monds. The knowledge and beliefs are so strong and deep rooted in our minds, in our actions, we refuse to believe the ultimate truth. We are programmed t o take shelter under clouds, false roofs, such as a frog taking a shelter under a serpent. This state of mind and our actions are created and developed by Saturn. Saturn is the representative of our false shelter. He creats maya through Rahu. All the dirt, whether in mind or in our physical presence in this world, is the abode of Saturn. He will not direct us to the path of truth, knowledge and god. He creates falls, pits and blindness, so that we eternally revolve round and round this maya. This maya is so powerful and strong, even the mighty Sun cannot escape.

So the two planes of operation of the fields are quite different. The concepts of Sun and Saturn go directly opposite to each other. Both act according to our past actions or karma. They are not enemies of each other. Because no two gods have the feelings of hatredness or love. They are above all those trivial behavior. They are above such meanness. They act according to their natures. Both are necessary embo diments of this worldly life. Sun is the enemy of ignorance, false-hood, indiscipline, and maya. The Saturn is the enemy of light, discipline, truth and knowledge. The Saturn is the creator maya.

All these qualities are the embodiments of mortal lives in this world; and definitely not the qualities of either the Sun or Saturn. In this way both are supplementary and complementary to each other. They are not enemies; But the gods acting in tandem, in harmony. One takes up where the other ends. They are the enemies of certain actions of mortals. It is the mortal to choose his action. If one sincerely attempts , penaces and disciplined it is the Saturn who is more pleased and he withdraws the curtain of Maya from ones path of seeking truth. Then the Sun condones and destroys the earlier sins and shows the path of liberation through his light.

Halloween Among the Stars: The Seven Sisters Pleiades

Have you ever heard of The Seven Sisters, also known as the Pleiades? It is a small Constellation made up of seven Stars that is shaped like a cluster of grapes. While this Constellation is small, many people believe that the Pleiades has witnessed and foretells of many big things. Some people believe that a cataclysmic event, one that may have killed thousands maybe millions of people, happened while The Seven Sisters were in the sky. A few even believe that the world will end while The Seven Sisters shine overhead.

So what does this all have to do with Halloween? Well, if for some reason you found yourself on a deser ted island without a calendar, you could still celebrate Halloween because the Pleiades is always right overhead during Halloween.

But what truly makes The Seven Sisters a sinister set of Stars is the fact that not only is Halloween celebrated at this time, but so was an ancient Aztec ceremony involving a human sacrifice and the end of the world, a Celtic ceremony called Samhain when evil spirits would invade the earth and a Mexican holiday called Days of the Dead (da de los muertos). Ancient temples in Greece were built to be lined up with Pleiades. And so was a major Aztec temple. The Pleiades is even mentioned in the bible, in the book of Job and has a place in Brahman faith as the sparks from a god of fire. The set of Stars is so widely mentioned and so often associated with death and destruction, that there are some who suspect that the Pleiades were overhead when a terrible event happened on Earth.

No one is quite sure what this event was, though some suspect that it may have been the great flood that is talked about in the Bible or perhaps the cataclysmic event that lead to the sinking of Atlantis. The Aztecs believed that the world had not been destroyed just once when the Pleiades were overhead, but rather four times. And that if a human sacrifice was not made once every 52 years (when their two calendars coincided), that the world would be once again destroyed while those seven Stars looked down.

So this Halloween, when you are taking your kids out trick-or-treating or on your way to a costume party, make sure you stop for a moment and look up at the Stars. See if you can locate the Seven Sisters overhead in the night sky. You might also want to stop and wonder what horrors that little cluster of Stars has witnessed, and if they might witness a few more sometime in the future.

Sacred Geometry

Harmonics is the study of the rhythms and sub rhythms of Cosmic periods. It is a study that is rapidly taking a whole melange of astrological techniques and bringing them to a coordinated, simplified and unified whole.

Where once some methods of delineating a chart were considered to be superior to others, it is now seen that, at a level invisible to the eye, everything is connected.

That connection is through the medium of Number. Number participates in a continuum that unfolds in time and the properties of Number allow multiples of meanings to be used interchangeably to create the whole fabric of the Universe.

One of the greatest leaps in astronomical and astrological thought came from Johannes Kepler. Kepler's laws of planetary motion, and Harmonics divulge the connection between planets and cycles through the medium of proportion and rhythm. Through the further development of these laws, where once we only understood the Geometry of specific angular d ivisions of the chart, known as aspects, we now understand the wider implications of the wave motion they represent. As a result we have come to understand how those aspects might represent Vibrational qualities that resonate throughout the Universe.

In an outline of Kepler's Astrology, Wolfgang Pauli commented that, according to Kepler, individual souls have the ability to react to certain harmonious proportions, which correspond to specific rational divisions of a circle. In music, this ability is revealed in our perception of euphony or consonance in certain musical intervals. Our souls are said to be able to react similarly to harmonious proportions of angles that rays of stellar light make with each other when they strike the earth. In the case of planets, these are the aspects of traditional Astrology.

Although the original idea of a 'harmony of the Spheres' descends from before Christ, Kepler was instrumental in helping us to understand the inherent order and perfection of our World. As Sir James Jeans once said he (God) is addicted to arithmetic.

One branch of scientific thought that works with the concept of Number is Archaeocryptography. The A-cryptographer work with Ancient sites and monuments and explore their relationship to Number. In the course of their studies they have come up with some astounding information which can only lead one to surmise that although Kepler discovered certain laws, he was possibly only a conduit through which knowledge flowed from a greater Consciousness.

For it would seem that the Ancient civilisations possessed an understanding of Number, Geometry and proportion beyond any level we could have imagined.

For instance, in Wiltshire, England lies the megalithic structure, Stonehenge. This site once comprised of 30 stones with 30 lintels laid on top. The perimeter of the site is enclosed by a 360-degree circle. If you multiply 60 by the 360 degree circle you obtain the Number 21,600.

The location of Stonehenge is 51 degrees, 10 mins and 42,3529411764 seconds of latitude north of the equator which, when multiplied also produces 21,600 (51 X10X 42,3529411764) and yet the people of that time in history were not supposed to have known that a circle had 360 degrees of arc

What is this synchrony?

In Mexico there is a pyramid known as The Pyramid of Magicians in Uxmal. It is apparently one of the only ones to be square sided and round cornered. So it is the merger of two common geometrical forms, the circle and the square.If you square a circle i.e. 360 squared, 360 squared = 129,600 (: 120 54 = 20.000) Which is where it is to the west of the Great Pyramid of Egypt.

As if this wasnt enough food for thought it also emerges that Easter Island, Nazca, Ollantaytambo, Paratoari, Tassili n'Ajjer and Giza are all aligned on a single great circle around the Globe. Additional Ancient sites that are located within one tenth of one degree of this great circle include Petra; Perseopolis; Khajuraho; Pyay, Sukothai and Anatom Island.

So what does all this tell us?

An immense play of mirrors thus exists in an immemorial way between the macrocosm and the microcosm, the Creation and the creature, the Creation and the Creator, the creature and the Creator; and it is made possible by mathematics, because this is at the same time their common essence and their common reason. It is the only natural language, because it is the only one in which Nature expresses itself. The work of the Astrologer is to translate these mathematical relationships and reveal the Geometry, or pattern, that our birthchart describes. For when all is said and done, we too are an integral part of the sacred Geometry of Creation.
