Dialogue on Astrology

It has been the noble profession of philosophers, social critics, and general thinkers to explain an idea using a story or a tale. By using characters, or dialogue, a writer can explain their thoughts, dreams, or ideals. On the contrary, though, many have used fictional stories as a method of propaganda, to spread lies to the general public, that the ruling class is considered more trustworthy. Few would be able to wholly understand all the suffering and pain caused by the governments of the world. And only few would be able to believe it. The greatest cause of failure to achieve justice and peace in our world today, is that the common people are convinced of the lies of the media, the police, the government, and the big corporations. However, I am digressing from the purpose of this article... Here, I will attempt to draw some arguments out that I have against the idea of astrology. I hope it is as enjoyable as it is enlightening...

Argon: It is because of the distress that our class of men, known as astrologers, has been receiving, that I call this meeting. The faith has been called into question by the men of this modern world. We must now decide how we shall survive.

Texca: But there is another important matter of inquiry.

Argon: Yes?

Texca: Can Astrology truly be used as an accurate method for predicting the future or discovering the past?

Argon: I will say what I once told my apprentice... If you can convince people that you are predicting the future or discovering their past, then you are doing it. The physical universe is cold and inanimate. What is true objectively is non-existant. If you can tell someone what you discover, through cards or books, and they respond positively, then your powers must be true. That is the only way that I can see it.

Larkaz: As far as the recent skepticism of doubters, it must be met virulently. We have made a thousand Predictions. Fortunately, th e media has taken it to publicize the thirty or so that have come true. It brings a sort of reliability to our profession.

Argon: When we give personal readings, we must tell them something that they can connect with.

Texca: Horrid vagueness is perhaps the best tactic at our disposal.

Opal: Well, what is it, more specfically, that we can tell people, so they are convinced that we know the truth?

Argon: We must ask ourselves: what are the things that commonly go on in the lives of people?

Larkaz: Conflict.

Texca: Money.

Opal: Love.

Argon: In what way can we give a Prediction in any of these areas, so they are believed?

Opal: We can say that something will happen today, or in the coming week, or weeks, involving something in regard to conflict, money, or love.

Larkaz: For conflict, we can say that the person will have a betrayal of some sort, or that they will be given the opportunity to break one of their commitments. It is impossible for two friends to coexist without one of them saying or acting negatively towards the other, even if it is in the least. And being given the opportunity to break a commitments could be anything. If you are committed to a lover, it is not hard to find others whom interest you, and if you are committed to a friend, it may be tempting to profit from their loss. By seeing these opportunities, which had existed all along, they are seeing the truth of our statements.

Texca: As far as money goes, we can say a multitude of things. Either an opportunity for person or business investment looms ahead, or at this present time, money may be more tight than usual, or more abundant than usual. At the first sign of an expensive cost, they will see the truth of the statement that money is tight, and at the first sign of incoming wealth, even if it is a common, routine employment check, they will see the truth of the statement that money is abundant . As far as business investments go, they can see anything as a business investment, whether they are simply buying some product in a store, or they are loaning money to a friend, things which are hardly uncommon, they are seeing the validity of supernatural Prediction.

Opal: For love, we can say that an old romance may come back in to their lives, or they will be meet someone new who will have a lasting impact on their lives. Both of these things are common. For instance, how many old romances do each of us have? Countless. And even just a chance meeting with one, or a phone call, or even someone mentioning them, or just even the thought of one, will be enough for a person to think, Yes, I had an old romance come back into my life briefly. When it comes to meeting someone new who will have a lasting impact on their lives, that is perhaps the most vague of them all, but most enticing. If someone can give them a light for their cigarette, and they forever rememb er that incident, they may very well confide in themselves, Yes, it is true that this person had a lasting impact on my life.

Argon: As I said, vagueness is our tactic, but coupled with interpretation, we become unstoppable. A commitment, or a business opportunity, or meeting someone new, -- these are all horribly vague words, but we must tell people to interpret them in their own regard. A friend of mine predicted that a woman would become pregnant in two months. When she explained that she had a hystorectomy and could not bear children, he covered his mistake by saying, You will have an addition to your life, either a pet or a friend will become part of your household. Interpret it as you have to.

Texca: How is that vague, though? I mean, if you say, You will have a business opportunity in two weeks, how is that vague?

Argon: Well, compare it with something specific. If we were giving out helpful readings, we would say something like, You know th at guy John? He's going to come to you Tuesday, at six o'clock, and he's going to ask to borrow two hundred dollars. If you let him borrow this money, don't expect to see it again for three weeks. He's going to spend it on a drug binge, but he'll get you back once he cleans up. See, if we said something like that, maybe we could be accurately described as real predicters. But go on and try to say something like that to someone, and they'll say you're crazy, because nothing you say has anything to do with their lives. Or maybe they'll be so stupid, they'll think, Oh, by John, he meant Bert, and by drug binge, he meant television set, and by two hundred dollars, he meant fifty dollars, and by three weeks, he meant one weekend. Remember, vagueness and interpretation.

Larkaz: We can spread our ability to predict through various facets. Astrology. We can have newspapers publish our Predictions for people, based on the time of the month they were born. We can alwa ys throw in some psuedo-science, by saying some astrological bodies or whatever have gravity on you more during those times -- despite the fact that they have the same pull on everyone else, too. There's also Tarot Card readings. Based on a card, we can make some vague Prediction and suggest the listener to use interpretation when hearing it.

Opal: But it doesn't seem like we're offering much help by this method at all.

Argon: What do you mean? We're telling them the truth. Once they hear it, they look for. They look for things that happen everyday, every hour, and they're going to see it. Once they have prove that our Prediction is true, they'll come back -- and so will their money.

Opal: For all the value we actually give, we may as well say, This is life. Things happen. Sometimes you'll have conflict problems, looming money disputes, or possible love affairs. These happen every day, sometimes every hour. Good luck. After all, that is what w e really are saying.

Texca: We're not saying that. We don't say, You'll have conflict problems. We say, In a week and a half, you'll have to choose the loyalty of an old friend or a new lover. Choose wisely. We don't say, You'll have money disputes. We say, Someone you barely know will come to you for money. Choose wisely. We don't say, You'll have possible love affairs. We say, Next month, you'll light up a romance with a beautiful, attractive lover. Be careful. If you are not assertive, they may try to take advantage of you.

Opal: So, we are basically rephrasing the plain, dull truth, to make it look attractive, so we can fill our pockets?

Texca: We are telling people what they need to hear.

Argon: If we didn't tell someone that a business investment was coming up, they might miss out on a great opportunity.

Opal: How can we help? We don't actually know if it is a good deal. We don't know if they will get ripped off. And hell , saying choose wisely won't help them a damn bit.

Argon: But we do know one truth. We know that this is life, and things happen.

Opal: If that's all we know, then we know no more than the person we are predicting the future to.

Texca: That seems like an accurate approximation.

Mercury and the Computer

The planet Mercury has its abode in Houses Gemini and Virgo. Gemini is Mercurys positive swakshetra; Virgo being its negative house. Mercury is exalted in 15 deg. Virgo. Mercury represents all that is quick, grasping, knowledge, arrangement, alignment, maintenance etc. On the higher pedestal, he is the incarnation of Lord Vishnu, who is being assigned the work of maintenance of this world; whereas the work of creation to Lord Brahma and the work of destruction to Lord Shiva. Mercury represents computer.

Aptly Lord Vishnu himself must be a super big computer to look after the task of maintenance the world or all the worlds. Mercury representing computer derives power from Moon. Moon is the power giver to all the planets. Even though Mercury is considered as enemy of Moon, the Moon is not the enemy of Mercury. The power required for a computer comes from electricity. Without the electricity, there is no Computer. This electricity is generated from Hydro source. The Hy dro source represents Moon. If the source of electricity is Thermal, then it is Sun is the source doing the job for and on behalf of Moon. The Sun and Moon bestow their powers on Mercury .

Mercury is intelligence. Software of computer; Whereas the Mars is the hardware, representing engineering. Attainer of perfection ; Buddhi& Buddha; Mercury is telecommunication ; Yet Mercury is child ; Childish. Afflictions to Mercury indicate child-hood difficulties such as speech defects, separation from parents. Yet the child full of capabilities. He is the child of the father. Sriramachandra when he was child cried for Moon to be caught in his hand. Mercury is child of Moon.

While the house Gemini being Mercurys positive swakshetra, all the energy of Mercury is exerted, manipulated and spent in the work of maintenance. The house Virgo is the negative ; Gathers power and stores. The exclusive and characteristic power of Mercury is represented by Virgo in its healing power, a s the Greek Demi god Centaur. Mercury has its exaltation upto 15th deg, Moolatrikona at (16-20) deg and the last 10 deg as swakshetra. Thus Mercury has three types of qualities in Virgo.

For worshipping Mercury, the seed mantra is Om, Aim, Bum Budhaya namha:. The deity is Lord Vishnu. He is best worshipped and pleased through Lord Lakshmi Narasihma or Sita , Lakshmana Hanumatsameta Kodanda Rama. Offer Sri Tulasi mala to the deity of Lakshmi Narasihma or Kodanda Rama; Offer Lotus flowers to Sita Mata or Lakshmi; and then fruits to Lord Hanuman, starting the pooja on a First Wednesday of Shukla paksha. Continue the pooja for five Wednwesdays.

You will see miracles in your life. If the Mercury is in difficult houses in a birth chart, aspected by malefics, then wear Mercury Yantra, On Wednesday of starting of Pooja as above mentioned. Do not wear gem stones such as Green Emerald or any others, if the Mercury is in difficult houses or aspected by malefics. This te nds to increase the difficulties. The famous and legendary film artist Amitabh Bachan wore green emeralds when the Mercury was in difficult houses, first associated by Ketu in Virgo and then aspected by Mars, who in turn aspected by Saturn. Amitabh Bachan got a jolt and admitted to hospital, during the month of November 2005.

Born With The Moon In Scorpio

According to Astrology, the exact location of the moon during the time of your birth determines your emotional reaction to the world around you. While the astrological sun colors your outwardly aggressive actions, the moon dictates your inner, passive or receptive urges. The moon is your female energy - she represents the type of nurturing energy you project, and/or the type of mothering you received as a child. Today we will discuss the Moon in Scorpio.

The Scorpio Moon: Joy and Pain

The Moon is literally in its fall, or denouement, in this sign. For this reason, Scorpio Moon folks are known to grapple with themselves on the inside. They typically experience all emotions extremely, deeply and totally - ecstasy, sorrow, elation... and yes, their tempers, when provoked, can be explosive. To complicate matters, Scorpio Moon people regard their own emotions as a source of vulnerability and therefore try to keep their true feelings under wraps. So, it's not surprising that while many Scorpio Moons are traveling this earth feeling everything very intensely, they're also wearing this kind of detached look. After all, if they were to be found out, there would be very grave consequences indeed. What those consequences might be is anybody's guess... but if the Scorpio Moon is the one doing the imagining, it's sure to be quite catastrophic.

The Scorpio Moon, in a nutshell: intensity. Intense likes, intense dislikes, intense fascination, intense disgust... and yes, in keeping with the general Scorpio reputation, intense love affairs. This is a very black-and-white, all-or-nothing moon with extremely fixed notions about things. If you're loved by a Scorpio Moon then you are loved fiercely, totally and completely; but if you're despised by a Scorpio Moon, then you may as well not exist. And it's quite possible in dealing with this turbulent moon native that both emotions may be directed at you at different points in this lifetime. If a Scorpio Moon perceives that you have slighted them in some way... better mak e good immediately, or run and hide until the mood passes, because in all likelihood, revenge is being plotted against YOUR head!

The Scorpio Moon: Offsetting the Drama With Private Relaxation

Scorpio Moon people tend to go through life acting on hunches, reading between the lines - picking up subtle nonverbal cues, moods, intentions, underlying messages and such. Indeed, someone with this moon placement may get a very different meaning from the same conversation heard by someone with a more literal and pragmatic mind. This is not only quite distracting to the moon native, but when they react to these perceptions it often l eads to undesired consequences and drama. Thus, the irony of the Scorpio Moon; being consumed by the very internal composition one despises in himself, and attracting drama-infused situations as a direct result of trying to avoid them.

A troubled Scorpion Moon person should allow herself some distance from time to time... a private sanctuary where she can sort out her emotions, get a healthy perspective and then emerge from the cocoon with renewed inner peace and a higher purpose in mind. Indeed, reflection and meditation feels quite natural to this introspective moon native and is encouraged as a way to take the edge off and tem per the extreme moods. A deeply sensitive soul, capable of great courage and strength... there is much room for psychological growth and wisdom to be gained with this lunar positioning.

The Scorpio Moon: A Powerful Force for Good OR Evil

As with any sign, there are both positives and negatives to the Scorpio Moon placement. The sign of Scorpio has been assigned two symbols- the Scorpion and the Eagle. The former, a covert creature who stealths along the ground; and the latter, a symbol of power and might, soaring into the high heavens. Lows and highs... the Scorpio Moon is quite familiar with both states of consciousness... more than most, in fact.

Spiritually evolved Scorpio Moon souls can (and should) harness the gift of their emotional intensity and move proverbial mountains with it. If a Scorpio Moon person is intrinsically good, then that goodness of spirit can manifest itself in divine ways... extreme compassion and generosity toward fellow man, great and unshakeable integrity, impeccably honest conduct in business and personal affairs, and a permanent seat on the side of righteousness and justice. An enlightened Scorpio Moon will pledge his whole self to any and every cause he deems important; profess his undying faith to his family, home, country; and even make the ultimate sacrifice in a lifelong promise to serve God. Yes, this moon placement is often found in religious leaders, as the spiritual aspect is heavily emphasized here.

Less evolved Scorpio moons, on the other hand, are not averse to using abject means to get what they want. The concentration of power in this sign placement has led many a wayward Scorpio lunar native down a dark and devious path of corruption. In direct contrast to their enlightened counterparts; illicit affairs, illegal and underhanded dealings, petty and deceitful behavior, psychological turmoil, and loyalty to no one but themselves are trademark signs of the afflicted Scorpio Moon. Again, this is all due to the fact that Scorpio is in the moon's fall, thus making emotions feel uncomfortable, unnatural and all-encompassing. With the all-or-nothing theme at work, indeed this placement will produce some extreme results.

The Scorpio Moon and Sex

It has been said that sexual impulses drive the Scorpio Moon native moreso than other moon signs, perhaps because they radiate such passion and intensity that they're forever in need of release. The Scorpio Moon is equated with transcendental lovemaking or soul sex in which the participants experience an exalted state of consciousness by way of the physical sex act itself. Clearly, while sexual nirvana is hardly a day-to-day occurrence, this moon person has been labeled as having an extra potential for such achievements. At the very least, this moon person admits to having a high sex drive, even allowing sex to affect his or her decisions at certain points in life.

The Scorpio Moon as a Nurturer

The Scorpio Moon Nurt urer is fiercely protective and psychologically all-consuming. Scorpio Moon Mothers, or Smothers as they are sometimes known, must learn to temper their intensity. If the Scorpio lover is possessive in her affairs, the Scorpio mother is equally possessive of her children. It will be her ongoing challenge to let go. These moon natives must get a reign on that fretfulness that leads to strings of sleepless nights, and interfere less in the daily trials and tribulation s of their young sons and daughters. Scorpio Moon Mothers must generally permit themselves to chill out, cool down and back off. An earth-sign or earth moon-sign partner can lend a comforting and grounding effect for the Scorpio nurturer who has let the worrying get out of hand yet again.

Other signature themes and preoccupations of the Scorpio Moon: secrets, mysteries, severity, psychology, power, control, passion, revenge, obsession, loyalty, sex, depth of f eeling, ethics, spirituality, solitude, death. No, the Scorpio moon is surely not made of green cheese, but rather some of the most powerful facets of human existence. This lunar native must learn to embrace the reality of his or her own emotions as opposed to running or hiding from them. If the Scorpio Moon person can navigate his or her own spirit to a higher and more exalted place, he will recognize the potential for complete and total happines that lies within himself... and the transformation will be powerful for certain.

Astrology & The Bible: Age of Aquarius

Introduction

This is an excerpt from the book, The Many Waters by Lauretta Lueck. It is important to bring to your attention the main premise of the excerpt. The prophesies that were written thousands of years ago are about to become a reality. The Age of Pisces; two days being a thousand years; the third day dawning - the Age of Aquarius; the End of Time - The Tribulation and the Second Coming of Christ; are explained by Lueck in this exciting excerpt. She reassures us that we are not seeing the end of the world, but rather the beginning of a new age. With calm and eloquence she explains the meaning of each age, as it is written in the Bible, and reveals what the real meaning of the Second Coming is.

The prophecies of the Bible were written thousands of years ago by prophets who walked with God, and now their words are about to become reality. We have experienced wars and rumors of wars, famines and natural catastrophes, but finally, after two thousand years of sorrows, peace and good will are close at hand.

Take heed that no man deceive you...these are the beginnings of sorrows, but the end is not yet...and the gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations, and then shall the end come.... Matthew 24:4-14

THE BEGINNING OF SORROWS

From the earliest of times, and maybe even as early as Adam, the mental giants and men of renown noticed that in the night sky there was a pattern to the stars and order in the Heavens.
Their mathematical minds went to work and somewhere and sometime in that distant past, the Zodiac was established in cultures around the world.

Astrology was the original astronomy, and blended in with it was prophecy and clairvoyance. Most astrologers of the time were also seers, as was Abraham, who was well known for his ability in counseling kings, and Moses, the greatest of them all, who learned his craft in an Egyptian palace.

It was during these ages that our Bible evolved, and throughout the scriptures in both the Old and New Testaments the signs of the times are prominent.

In astrology, a Great Year is the time it takes the planet to pass through the Twelve Signs of the Zodiac. This is 25,868 years, but there is no clear line between each sign, which is called a Great Month and lasts approximately 2000 years and a little beyond that. For simplicity, the months are calculated at the beginning and end of eac h millennium.

The night that Jesus was born, apparently the Age of Aries the ram ended and the Age of Pisces the fishes began. Aries was the age of battle. It was a war-saturated age and the Jewish tribes of the time were no exception. They were as bloodthirsty as they were religious and the chosen people of Israel, from whose lineage Jesus would come, were inclined to forget their LORD on occasion and worship the ram.

In the Age of Pisces, Christianity was born and the awareness of humility and charity. The early Christians used the symbol of the fishes scratched on the walls of their secret hiding places for other Christians during the Roman persecution, and Jesus referred to his disciples as fishers of men. In the Age of Pisces, the struggle has been for freedom from war and persecutionand a struggle it has beenespecially between good and evil.

When Jesus spoke of the Jewish temple, of his body, and how both would be destroyed, it was also meant as a sig n of the times. That dark and terrible night there was an earthquake and the temple was rent down the middle. His physical body was dead, and the Age of Pisces became the Beginning of Sorrows.

For two days Jesus was in the grave. He brought in the Age of Pisces of Peace on earth and good will to all, but for two days and two thousand years (the Age of Pisces) there would be no peace or good will while his spirit was gone from our presence.

In God's time, one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

The Son of man [Jesus was put through a physical death by the forces of evil, but the seed of the serpent only managed to bruise his heel. The world can never destroy evil, as it is a dimension of God, but we can bruise its head and keep it under control. For two thousand years (two days), our world has been torn down the middle, like the temple, between good and evil and we have been spiritually dead like the body of Christ, but the third day is dawning! It is the spiritual resurrection of the Son of God, and there will be peace on earth and good will to all.

The time has come and it is NOW! It is NOT the end of the world as many people fear and the messengers of doom have prophesied. On the contrary, it is the beginning of a New World Order. Jesus will be King of kings and Lord of Lords, not in body, but in the Spirit of God. In astrology, it is known as the Age of Aquarius.

THE END OF TIME: The Tribulation

The scriptures in both the Old and the New Testaments tend to run the Age of Sorrows and The Tribulation together, and that has caused confusion and misinterpretation within the Christian denominations. It has resulted in false prophesies concerning the end of the world and the Second Coming of Christ; and No, the world is not going to end just yet, and Jesus is not coming back in a physical body againever. Nor is the Second Coming going to take place next week, next month, or ten years fro m now. Because religion and science have never been the best of friends, the Bible's account of the beginning and ending of the Heavens and the earth has never been associated with science's theory of the expansion and contraction of the universe.

(In the Bible, Day and Night have many interpretations. Day: light; knowledge; salvation; a beginning of time. Night: darkness, ignorance or evil; death; ending of a day or time period.)

Our planet is nearing the end of the Age of Sorrows, and a New Age of peace and good will is beginning. The first spiritual ruler of this era will be born (if he hasn't already) in the new Zion and will b e a BRANCH from Jesse, the father of king David of biblical times. He will rule the world in the spirit of Christ, and evil will be chained for the duration of the Age.

If one of our days is as a thousand years of the Light, one thousand years of the Light would be, in our time in the New Age, 36,500,000 years. I don't think we will have to concern ourselves with the tribulation or the end of the cosmos just yet.

Our planet has been given another chance to become a paradise on earth, but for that to happen we have to be born again, as Jesus said. As we were born in the body, so we must also be reborn in the spirit, in cosmic union of body and soul. To be fully alive we can't have one without the other.

When and how will this New Age begin?

It has already begun. There still are wars and calamities beyond imagination, but there is also an awakening of souls long dead and a longing for spiritual wisdom. There is a growing awareness of the power of though t and how it can affect the body and soul, whether for good or evil, and we are questioning the purpose in life.

Is there a purpose?

Over the course of time, our planet will discover its role in the cosmos, but the most profound change will occur in the nation where the physical birth of Jesus took place. From this nation the ruler of the New Age will be born, and he will set the world on its path toward peace and good will to all. No, it is not Jesus, but a servant of the Lord of Lords, endowed with the spirit of the Prince of Peace.

In the Old Testament book of Zechariah, the prophet is told by an angel of the LORD that the soul of Joshua, who was once a high priest, would be sent forth to be the Lord's servant known as the BRANCH. The Son of God brought us back to paradise on earthphysically, mentally and spiritually.

In the New Age, beginning with the Age of Aquarius, the message of the kingdom of God and Heaven that is within us will be preached and taught throughout the world, and it will go on for eons of time. It will last as long as the breath of God, during the continued expansion of the cosmos, and through the contraction, near to the point of zero.

...and then shall the end come. (Matthew 24:14)
This is NOT the return of Jesus, but rather of the spirit of Jesus through the reincarnation of Joshua, The BRANCH.

Lauretta Lueck is the author of The Many Waters, And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

The Many Waters is a scientific interpretation of the creation story told in Genesis, and corroborated by other ancient manuscripts.

Horoscopes Capricorn

In this Tenth of a 12 part series on Horoscopes, we're going to look at the first of what are called the winter signs, Capricorn the Goat.

People who are born between December 22 and January 21 are Capricorns. Their element is Earth, their quality is Cardinal, their energy is Yin, their ruler is Saturn, their color is Brown, their gem is Garnet, their main anatomical parts are the bones, joints and knees, their keywords are achievement, structure and organization, their Tarot suit is Pentacles and their Tarot Major Arcana cards are The Devil and The World.

Some famous celebrities who are Capricorns are Cuba Gooding Jr., Ricky Martin, Tracey Ullman, Kate Moss, Mel Gibson, Muhammad, Ali and Martin Luther King Jr.

It's pretty lonely at the top, which is pretty much where goats are. They love their solitude. They're very ambitious, organized, efficient and responsible. The flip side of that is they can be very cold, calculating, suspicious and rigid. They are also their own worst critics. A Capricorn will beat himself up over just about anything that he doesn't believe he has done as best as possible. So no need to point out their shortcomings. They will do it for you in spades.

The Capricorn must have security at all costs. In order to get this security they will step on anyone who gets in their way. This is an odd mix with a sign that can also be very kind. At the same moment they're telling you that you have a nice shirt they'll immediately follow that remark with a command to get out their way so they can go to the men's room. They are certainly odd in that respect. The good thing about a Capricorn is that if you have done them a favor, they will be forever in your debt. They never fail to repay an act of kindness.

A Capric orn needs approval from the whole world. So finding one who will commit to loving one person is not easy. But if you can find your way to their sense of humor, you will also find your way to their heart. This isn't an easy thing to do as their sense of humor is very dry. But once you've figured it out, half the battle is won. Once you are able to finally make your way to a Capricorn's heart, you have a very good chance of having it for life.

At the job, goats love to be in charge. Because of this, they make very good managers. Many rags-to-riches stories that you hear will involve a goat. They take great pride in being able to overcome adversity and turning nothing into something great. Howard Hughes and Aristotle Onasis were both Capricorns. These were two of the richest men of their time.

As goats get older their lives become more rewarding. It is rare to see a goat losing fame and fortune as he gets older. They are very shrewd businessmen and know how to invest. As a result, as the years go by they only become more successful. Because of this, many goats live long lives because they become more relaxed as they get older.

Astrology Refuted: They Should Have Seen It Coming

A comedian once showed a newspaper to his audience. The headline read, 1-800 Astrology Business Goes Under: They Should Have Seen It Coming. Everyone laughed, including me. We chuckled at the irony of a real contradiction here. If such a business could provide the service they claim, then its owners should have succeeded where other businesses failed. In fact, if they really knew the future, they likely wouldn't bother with this business at all. They would simply raid the stock market with a perfect investing record. We all somewhat instinctively know this, even those of us who have never had the occasion to sit and think it through carefully.

But this pseudo-science has another problem that concerns us. It's adherents who create the garden-variety horoscope columns (found in most any newspaper) spotlight a basic contradiction. On the one hand, they pretend to tell your future based upon the timing of your birth and the alignment of the stars and/ or planets. Philoso phers have called this assumption astral determinism.

This means simply that the stars and planets determine your future, hence the phrase, written in the stars. On the other hand, however, when the predictors finish telling just what will befall you, they move onto the next part of the column. They offer advice. But this advice you may take or leave, as though you have a free choice to make, the outcome of which no star determines.

So they assume astral determinism when predicting, and then assume its opposite when advising. One simply cannot have it both ways. The only way to resolve this contradiction derives from saying that the heavenlies determine SOME things, but not others. This avoids contradictory impulses, however, at the cost of engaging a purely arbitrary (pick and choose whichever you like) approach to what stars do and do not determine about your life. And yet their charts promise a principled (non-arbitrary) way to know the future. So this option makes no logical headway either.

Either way then, assumptions necessary to the trade of star-traffickers show themselves bogus. The whole thing turns out a useless mirage. Astral determinism thus represents a phoney idea, and we can show this with a little logical rigor.

Finally then, we wish to add logical insult to mystical injury by noting that our refutation of astral determinism posits a fairly clear and obvious problem for their trade. And like the bug who never quite manages to avoid the fast-approaching windshield -- they should have seen it coming.

Libra's ruler, Uriel, (translating Fire of God), governor of September, is also known as the Archangel of salvation and is renowned globally from the infamous painting - Dryden's The State of Innocence, depicted descending from Heaven in a chariot drawn by white horses. Barchiel, the Angel of February and the ruler of Pisces, (Lightening of God) is one of the 7 archAngels, and is also known to be the ruler of Jupiter

It is evident, Astrologically speaking, the Zodiac closely mirrors the Heaven that we know and the Angels therein. So, the words, It is written in the Stars truly exhibits our predestination of life and all that lies within. How we use our knowledge, experience and Angelical Governors of the Zodiac is up to us.
