Tarot Cards: An Introduction

What is the Tarot?

The Tarot is a deck of 78 cards, featuring illustrations that can be interpreted in various ways. The deck is divided into two sections, called the major and minor arcana. The major arcana features the 21 trump cards, and the minor arcana is divided into four suits (wands, pentacles, cups and swords) each with cards featuring the numbers 1-10, an ace and four court cards (the Page, Knight, Queen and King).

Origin of the Tarot

The oldest known Tarot cards originated in 15th century Italy. The Tarot appears to have started life as a card game, and was at first restricted to the wealthy upper classes, although after the invention of the printing press, the cards became more widely available. Some writers have claimed (despite the apparent lack of evidence) that the imagery of the Tarot cards suggests a more ancient origin, and have connected the Tarot with such cultures and traditions as the ancient Egyptians and the mystical Hebrew Kabbal ah.

Later Developments

It was not until the 18th century that the cards became associated with the occult and mystical activities with which they are often linked today. This began in 1781, when the freemason Antoine Court de Gebelin made the claim in his work 'Le Monde Primatif' that Tarot cards contained hidden meanings (which he associated with the ancient Egyptians) that could be used for divinatory purposes.

Since then other mystic and magical traditions, such as the order of the Golden Dawn, have claimed that the Tarot has ancient roots, and that is has hidden wisdom to impart to those seeking enlightenment.

The Tarot's mass appeal increased with the publication of the Rider-Waite-Smith Tarot in 1910. Arthur Edwards Waite was a Golden Dawn member, and in this new deck, drawn by the artist Pamela Colman Smith, images with occult symbolism were included on the numeric cards, as well as the trump cards. This deck was very successful (and remains popular today), and since then, hundreds if not thousands of diverse new decks have been published, with many enthusiasts creating their own.

Uses of the Tarot

The Tarot has several distinct uses, including:

1. Games

This was its original use, and it is still used for gaming purposes in some European countries.

2. Psychology

Carl jung was the first mainstream psychologist to attach meaning to the Tarot cards, when he associated them with the fundamental archetypes that he believed to reside in the collective human unconscious. Several therapeutic techniques involving the Tarot have developed from this insight.

3. Inspiration

Many artists and writers have produced works inspired by the Tarot.

4. Divination Fortune telling is perhaps the most commo n use associated with the Tarot. The images on the cards may help the person seeking the reading to tap into their own subconscious knowledge. Others believe that the cards themselves hold some kind of inherent divinatory power, which may be read by a skilled person. For this reason, handling another person's cards is generally frowned upon in occult circles, as their energy could become contaminated.

Doing a Reading

There is no set method for performing a divinatory Tarot reading. However there are several popular layouts or 'spreads', with perhaps the most well known being the Celtic cross. This is usually the first method taught to beginners, although it is by no means the most simple. Experienced Tarot readers will often invent their own spreads, with their own means of interpretation.

Once the cards are selected by the person receiving the reading, the reader lays them out in a spread and analyses them, taking into account the positions relative to e ach other, the symbolism of the individual cards, and their position (upright or reversed).

Meaning of the Cards

There is no generally agreed upon interpretation of the Tarot cards. They all have imagery of varying degrees of complexity, and the wide range of decks available makes the situation even more difficult. Nevertheless there is a huge amount of writings available on the symbology of the Tarot, and on the most basic level, the 22 major arcana cards are thought to represent the journey of the Fool from ignorance to enlightenment.

In addition, the minor arcana cards have their own symbolism. The numbers are most obviously associated with numerology, and the suits are linked to the four elements (Swords=Air; Cups=Water; Wands=Fire; Pentacles=Earth). The Tarot has also been linked with other mystical and occult systems such as the I Ching, astrology, and the Kabbalah.

Choosing a Tarot Deck

There is a huge range of Tarot decks to choose from . Two classic decks are the symbolism-rich Rider-Waite deck, and Crowley's Thoth deck, both of which remain very popular. The early Marseille deck (used by Gebelin to illustrate 'Le Monde Primitif') is another important deck, also. There are also many less conventional decks to choose from, and people with just about any special interest can find a deck to match.

Feminists, for example, might like the Motherpeace Tarot with its round cards and exclusively female imagery, whereas some of those interested in Paganism might enjoy the Witches deck or the DruidCraft Tarot. Tarot decks can be found representing animals too, as well natural imagery, various sports, and other common activities. In fact, whatever your taste, there's probably a Tarot pack available to match, and most can be found online as well as from bookstores, new age shops etc.

Where to Start?

If you're interested in learning mote about the Tarot, I recommend checking out some of the numerous ex cellent Tarot-related sites on the net (see the link in my resource box for some good starting points), as well as online and local book stores and new age stores. One thing's for sure - there's no shortage of information available!

Astrology Never Lies

Contrary to its detractors concerted opinion, Astrology is not superstition. Superstition is more akin to: If I break a mirror, I will have 7 years bad luck. or If a bird flies into my house, someone will die. or If I step on a sidewalk crack, I will break my mother's back. or When It's Christmas and the weather is warm, it will be cold at Easter.

Those are Superstitions. Astrology is not superstition. Not even close. Astrology is a language. It exists. Like Estonian or French. It just plain exists. Like hard boiled eggs or chutney. Now, for some, languages that they do not know and are unable to read or converse in, constitute a sort of threat. When we hear friends chatting in a language that we don't know and we are present, we almost automatically imagine that they are talking about us. This is a kind of natural paranoia. We cannot understand. So we feel threatened or left out and perhaps even targeted as a victim.

Astrology, like any language, does have to be learned in order to be used. That's why some people are astrologers and others have other learnd professions such as doctors. An astrologer might tell you that your Sun in Leo means that you tend to want to be in the spotlight, but if your rising sign is Pisces, that Leo need for the spotlight might be mitigated.

This sort of diagnosis is not unsimilar to when a Dr tells you that the lump on your arm looks like a cyst, but if the tests come out positive, it might be something more serious. He looks at the cystic physical evidence, but he also digs further to find out if it might be something more threatening.

Now the language of Astrology has been much squelched and derided by a sector of the population we refer to as scientists or , in any case, people who believe that science (another language) is the pathway to understanding every human ill - including mental, emotional and physical ailments - and to conquering and refining and owning whatever commodity is available to man. (Space flight for example or improved hard boiled eggs)

But squelching a language doesn't always put it out of existence. And Astrology has survived the giant squelch of science and remains a means of communication between peoples and a method of both diagnosing and better understanding the human condition. Astrology is not in competition with science. It's just there alongside it the way that TV is there alongside the Internet. The two media must co-exist. They cannot afford to be at war. The Internet will win. It's bigger. And younger. TV knows that the way that Astrology knows that it must coexist with science because if there was a war between them Science would win. It's bigger. And younger.

Nonetheless, there is wisdom in what is ancient. So Astrology continues to exist. Some people study it and are able to use it in their work and daily lives. Other people don't study it sufficiently to become astrologers. But they dabble and they enjo y dabbling. Other people (most people) consult astrologers. They are the clients or the patients or the consultees who come to people like me for advice and information about their astrological charts: Who am I? What should I do about my mother-in-law's interfering in my Marriage? How can I get a divorce and keep my children? Why do I not have self-confidence? Where am I making my mistakes and why do I keep making them over and over again?

What some skeptical people (the Science-blinded or prejudiced) don't know is that the answers to all of those questions are sitting right there in peoples' astrological charts. Moreover, just because most people don't know how to read their charts and don't speak the language or know how to interpret the letters (symbols), doesn't mean the answers are not there. They are.

Astrology never lies. I have heard it tell me and my clients the truth over and over and over again, thousands of times. A client writes and asks me why she c annot seem to get a husband. She's young and beautiful and accomplished and owns her own home. Yet, she has nobody to share it with. What should she do?

I find out her birth date, time and place (sometimes she sends me a photo as well) and I do her chart. First thing I note is that she is more accomplished than she let on in her query letter. I know already that she is president of her own company. But she is also an Aries with Leo rising and she was born in a Rooster year. This woman is what my mother used to call a tough cookie and a multitalented cookie at that!

She doesn't bend easily. She is not soulful and won't listen to whining - even her own. She wants to be in the spotlight (Leo rising) and she is indeed in her own spotlight all the time. She's also a Rooster which is one of the most successfully non-flexible signs out there. Rigidity lurks in this woman's chart and has already done some damage to her private life.

But... I look further and...Eure ka! This young woman has the Moon in Cancer. She is longing for a home and children and a man to share it with. But, because the Aries and the Rooster and the Leo ganged up and got a hold on her soul (Moon) when she was still very young, she followed them to her own multimillion dollar successful oblivion. She learned how NOT to share and she made her fortune by being ruthless and firm in her opinions. (Aries/Rooster w Leo rising)

It's gets better. I dig a bit deeper and what do I find? This woman has Venus in Scorpio!

NB: I know. I know. You just don't get it when we tell you that there's a planet in some sign or other about which you know less than zero. Why? Because we are speaking to you in a language which is foreign to you. And this time it is about YOU. But we are not trying to hide anyting. You can learn the language too. Nobody is stopping you.

So our young woman has Venus in Scorpio. This means for some astrologers( We are not all alike. Just like doctors... Get a second opinion) that she equates love with sex and mystery and passion. She is hunting for passion and she is only finding suits and ties and expensive trappings. Why?

Because here she is, the president of a thriving software company, owner of her own 3000 sq ft. house and two luxury cars, 35 years old and beautiful and she cannot find a husband - someone to love and be loved by and make a family and a life with.

So?

She's too strong by half. And she is moreover attracted to the wrong kind of suitor. She has always thought she needed someone like me. A mensch. A boss person. A leader of men (and women). Balderdash! Two bosses in the same household? Ouch.

She needs either a steadying, long-suffering Ox or a lovely, langourous Snake or even a tempestuous Tiger - born in Gemini or Leo or perhaps Sagittarius because she has Mercury (her communication planet) in Sagittarius. And those guys she should be looking for are not necessarily w orld beaters. They might be teachers or poets or musicians or even weedy scientists who leave their brains in the laboratories when they come home at night. They should not be head honchos. She is the head honcho. She needs soul. So she should find someone with extra soul to share.

Need I say more? Astrology simply never lies!

P.S. Our heroine is now successfully married to a brilliant Gemini/Ox (a laid back communicator type) who writes books for a living. He cooks and helps with the kids. They have a nanny and household help. Madame goes to her job every morning after taking the children to school. Papa pipes and slippers into his office and hits the computer for a few hours before dressing and driving to the supermarket to do the family shopping. It worked! sw

The Value of a Psychic

Lets think about that for a minute. Lets say that your financial situation is going all wrong, there seems to be a blockage somewhere and you dont know what it could be or even how to change things, and there is someone out there who is broadcasting that she can. Lets say its not your finances, its your love life. It seems like its going okay, and then every single time, it all falls apArt too easily. Nothing seems to gel and your heArt keeps getting broken. Would you hold off on obtaining that assistance, thus leaving your situation exactly where it is, because you dont want to spend money? The fact is, it might be well worth it to spend the m oney just to have your situation turn around again. Lets look at it another way. What do you do when your car breaks down? You fix it yourself to save yourself money or you take it to a repair shop. You dont just leave it broken because it might cost some money to repair, because then you are not getting the necessary use out of your car that you need.

What do you do when you have an organ that needs to be removed, or a tooth, or some other ailment because there is a blockage or just because you are suffering? If there is enough suffering, you go to the doctor, you get treatment, you get healed, you have it fixed for you because you do not have the knowledge to fix it yourself.

In this life, you pay the one with the knowledge and the know-how to perform specific services, make repairs to or change whatever is not right in your life. Why then, do people not acknowledge what a psychic offers as being just as valuable, if not even moreso, especially if they can h elp to change your personal situation, so it increases, prospers, or grows to more or better than what you had in the first place, because you fear you will not have enough money?

There is an endless supply of money in the Universe, as long as people keep spending. There is always more. We will not run out, despite what others say. If you keep circulating it, more continues to come. Knowing that, does fearing that make any sense?

You may have a blockage in your situation, it's not in your organs or in your car's engine, and you are just going to leave it instead of letting someone that knows how help you remove it? Isn't the obvious solution to find someone that can repair or undo what is wrong? Yet, tons of people regard psychic assistance, advice and direct intervention much the same way, as having no real value. The truth is, we are the experts on the unseen and the unknown causes around people and their situations, we hold the solutions because we believe in the problems. It's not make-believe or all in someone's mind, it's very real and sometimes very hard to track down, and often hard to solve or repair and complete, but I do it. I work hard and diligently until I come up with a solution to other peoples' problems. I heal peoples situations, things they cant even see to work on or repair themselves. The things their minds and imaginations won't even accept much less acknowledge is what I work on. I am very good at what I do and my work is SO valuable to others and they don't even realize that.

Stop seeing us as invaluable and realize I can really help and make a difference or differences, because this is my area, and allow me to do my work and stop undermining the quality of it. The fact is, we psychics and healers are MORE important than most workers out there BECAUSE what we do is invisible, so it's very hard to see to work on, hard to track down to repair, and not always a picnic when in the process of it, but i t WORKS! It makes huge differences in peoples lives.

There is a picture on my blog page that comes with this listing it is of me with a spirit guide inside of my body, that literally altered my eye color, my expression and my behavior while she was telling me to become a healer and sticking around to be sure I listened! What other reason could there be for that than problems outside our imaginations and sight exist in this life and certain people can detect and repair those problems so life is easier and better to live?

Your Yearly Numerology Organizer for 2006

Every year offers you a new vibration for your work or play.

According to the Numerology system of rhythms, we humans journey through cycles that are nine years in duration.

Each year you enter a new vibration pattern for the cycle you are in.

Knowing your major energy expression for a particular year, you are more likely to govern your life more effectively.

You only need your Birthday Numbers you can play this game.

THIS IS HOW IT WORKS

Combine the numbers of your month and day.

An example: Oct 25 translates into 10 + 25, which adds up to 35. Reduce this to a single digit and you get 8.

Now add up the number of the present year, 2006. 2006 adds up to 8.

So, 8 + 8 = 16 = 7. If Oct 25 were your actual birthday, your number for 2006 would be 7. This would be your seventh year in the nine-year cycle.

WHAT IS 2006 LIKE FOR YOU?

If this is a #1 year for you, you are beginning a whole new cycle. Before lau nching into your new cycle, be sure no loose ends are carried over from the previous nine-year cycle.

It may take all of January to rehearse what the previous nine years have been for you. What major life lessons were you grappling with and did you resolve those issues?

Next get a sense of what is before you to address in terms of personal growth. What will you want to accomplish for yourself in the next nine-year cycle? This is your year to focus on you.

These are big questions. Might mean a full year, this 1st year of the nine years, devoted to this kind of self-examination.

Important to recognize the key features of your particular nine-year cycle, which are based on the nine stages of life. A person in her 20s will be at a different stage of development compared to one in her 30s or 40sand so on.

If this is a #2 year for you, in terms of your major theme for this nine-year cycle, you will do well to cultivate your cooperative style. Arriving at a more balanced place with yourself, and becoming more harmonious with your fellows could be your major accomplishment for this year.

If this is a #3 year for you, then this is your year for making big strides with your interactions with self and with others. This means: become more creative, more flexible, more daring. Dont hang on to the tried and true mannerisms and ways that have become ruts in your repertoire.

If this is a #4 year for you, then this year is best spent in stabilizing and integrating the newly grasped accomplishments of the previous three years. Get yourself ready for the big action coming up in the next year. This can be viewed as your quiet period. Your friends might wonder if youve buried yourself in a cave because you were so expressive the year before. But in actuality you are establishing more firmly the foundation from which you will be operating during the remaining years of the cycle.

If this is a #5 year for you, then its the best year to be fully active in your work or play. Your energy is high. This is a pivotal point as well. You stand at the midpoint and can see where you have come from and where you are going in terms of this cycle of personal growth. You can clearly see how much you have improved your way of being. You are ready to plunge into the world with your new sense of the inner power that has made you more sturdy.

If this is a #6 year for you, now you are fully able to reach out and be of service to others, more effectively than during the previous years of this cycle. Your heart has matured to a more meaningful depth of feeling. And you are able to bring your inner power to the fore and apply it in all that you do, in your professional calling and in your personal relationships. And in the way you regard yourself as well.

If this is a #7 year for you, you find that your energy for learning new things is quite high. You can afford to be mo re inquisitive than ever. You feel as if youve returned to your school years, all there is to learn and discover excites you. Wisdom will seem to be more accessible to you.

If this is a #8 year for you, then your leadership qualities want to have expression. You are approaching the end of this cycle. You may be in your 30s and have come to a better understanding of your power to lead. Your urge to take charge of things will be ineluctable. You just know what needs doing and how to get things moving. Obstacles are easily and creatively dealt with. You can do what needs to be done with sensitivity and with a caring heart.

AND FINALLY

If this is a #9 year for you, then youve reached a new level of wisdom. Your thoughts and actions reveal a beneficent heart. Theres a mellowness in your Style and others take notice. They want to benefit from your insights and support. You find yourself able to be more caring than ever. Its been a good nine years.

What Do You Think About Moon Cycles and Astrology?

What do you think of astrology and the position of the planets during the year? Do you think it means anything? What about moon cycles, new moons and eclipses, do you think they affect life on Earth? If you do you are not alone and there is a whole lot of evidence to support such views.

For instance, I can say in my studies of Earthquakes, Eclipses, volcanic activity, solar flares, space weather, comet dust, gravity waves, time, space vortex creation, birth of stars, big bang theories and theories of the universe that all these things affect us here on Earth.

To me it is obvious, yet science works so hard to deny some of it and embraces other aspects. Sometimes I think I am living in the wrong time period on the slow boat to China. Life is too predictable, people are too petty, most people do not think, too much lack of integrity and it seems we are doomed to repeat as the Earth must be flat you know?

With all that said; Energy outside the realm of what is studied by science in the present period does affect us. Therefore; I hesitate to classify much of the astrology as fantasy or hokum. I would rather categorize it as that which we feel but cannot yet prove. But will some day. Well those are some of my thoughts on the matter. Do you have opinions on this subjec t? Consider this in 2006?

Astrology

In Astrology, luck is preordained, simply put, some people are just born lucky. Of course, to believe, or not believe in Astrology is the prerogative of every thinking individual and just as in the case of other disciplines, in Astrology too, there are those practitioners who are proficient in their area of expertise and those that need to hone their skills.

Reincarnation is a principle that is fundamental to Hinduism. According to this belief, the course of any individuals life, is the sum total of that persons Karma, from previous births. All mortals must therefore follow the cycle of birth and rebirth, till a stage of, Atam Gyan, or enlightenment is reached. As a result of this cycle, the birth chart that one inherits is considered to be the resultant of ones actions from previous lives. Therefore, in Astrology, a horoscope is considered to be a map, which identifies positive elements one can take advantage of to attract those golden opportunities people call good luck.

Although, there are several forms of Astrology, the predominantly practiced forms are, as Western Astrology, Vedic Astrology or 'Jyotish' and Chinese Astrology, as a search on any Internet Search Engine will reveal. Most people still think that Astrology is all about your Sun Sign, however, true Astrology is not what you see in newspapers and magazines, as these readings are generic and are too general in nature to be of any purposeful value.

Vedic Astrology is defined as a mathematical study of the motion of the planets and constellations, for the purpose of drawing a horoscope. Analysing the positions and characteristics of the planets in a particular horoscope, allows Astrological predictions, of future events to be made. Vedic and Western astrologies share most of their b asic concepts, such as the signs, planets, and houses, as well as their general interpretive meanings. The fundamental difference between the two lies the measurement of the zodiac.

Vedic Astrology uses the sidereal zodiac, in which the stars are considered to be the fixed background against which the motion of the planets is measured. Western Astrology uses the tropical zodiac, where the motion of the planets is measured against the position of the Sun on the Spring equinox. Sidereal Astrologers claim their approach is more in keeping with the ancient traditions of the subject. When the vernal point was first defined in the 2nd Century as 0 Aries, the tropical and sidereal zodiacs would have shown no difference. The precession of the equinoxes, a phenomenon know to the ancients but forgotten by Western astronomers during the Dark Ages, meant that the Western zodiac based on the calendar became out of step with the heavens. Western Astrologers have never done a catchin g up exercise and many still do not fully understand the implications of their error.

Astronomers as well as tropical and sidereal Astrologers still base their measurement of the sky on a zero point taken as the position of the vernal equinox on the ecliptic. This has the same significance in the sky as the prime meridian on the Earths globe, i.e. it is the zero point of a 360 degree arc which is used to give a location for any object in the sky known as right ascension. In the same way as longitude (and latitude) give a position on the Earth.

Sidereal Astrologers add a correction to this point to allow for the precession of the equinoxes. They do this so that the zodiacal signs used in their Astrology coincide with the constellations of stars to which they refer. This correction is called the ayanamsa and different sidereal Astrologers use different precise values. This value is usually around 24 degrees at the present time and is constantly increasing as the eq uinoxes precess.

About 2,000 years ago, the two zodiacs were in approximate agreement and the vernal equinox fell at the start of the constellation Aries. Sidereal Astrologers see the failure of most Western Astrologers to relate their work to the actual heavens which they interpret, as an opportunity for critics of Astrology to denigrate the subject.

Science and Astrology are based on two diametrically opposed points of view. Everyday, modern science makes new discoveries about the Cosmos, while the knowledge that gives us Vedic Astrology is based on the ancient belief that, all that exists has already been discovered and that this knowledge is contained in the ancient scriptures. However, the correlation between Astrological predictions and real life events is what makes the existe nce of Astrology undeniable. The term 'Vedic Astrology' was introduced by American Astrologers in the 1980s and 1990s. 'Vedic' refers to the Hindu holy texts, known as 'Vedas'. This form of Astrology is also known as 'Indian ' or 'Hindu' Astrology. In the end, however, all of these words are English. In the ancient Indian language of Sanskrit, 'Vedic Astrology' is referred to as 'Jyotish', which means the 'Science of Light.'

Time and space are concepts that are central to Vedic Astrological calculations. In ancient times Vedic Astrologers used the following units of time:

Vipal = 4 sec, Pal =24 sec, Ghari = 60 Pal, or 24 min and Ansh, 30 Ansh = 1 Month.

Today, Vedic Astrologers use modern, metric time units to forecast their predictions and with the help of sophisticated comput er software, it is possible for an Astrologer to accurately cast the horoscope of any person, born at any location. Once a horoscope has been cast, an Astrologer will usually analyse the following aspects:

Character and Personality Profile
Love and Relationships
Health
Money
Friend & Family
Destiny, or Fate in General

However, it is also possible to find the answer to a particular question by employing Prasha Shastra, or Horary Astrology, by casting a horoscope specifically in relation to when the question was asked. The results of such readings, usually take the form of a simple, Yes or No.

Astrology, be it Eastern or Western, is extremely vast and to explore every aspect of this fascinating subject would be quite beyond the scope of this article, not to mention this writers capabilities. Never the less, I hope that by scratching the surface, some of the mysteries shrouding Astrology have been lifted.

Leo Sign North Node Your Soul's Mission and Path to Fulfillment

The nodes (south and north node) are two points in an astrological chArt that possess priceless information about one's karmic past and soul-destined future. Calculated by using the birth data of the individual, the nodes symbolize the unique life path that one is on and can answer many questions about his own, as well as his pArtner's, inner struggles and desires -- answers that can transform not only his relationship but his life.

Since there are twelve signs of the zodiac, there are also twelve unique nodal positions -- each pair of nodes (north and south) representing two opposite signs of the zodiac. For instance, a Leo Sign Nort h Node is paired with an Aquarius Sign South Node because they are opposites. And because they are opposites, they create a clear picture of the dualistic struggle that resides within the Leo north node/Aquarius south node individual.

Often, the individual is unaware of the war taking place inside, a situation that could go on for years. As time passes he is dumfounded by his inability to progress in life - professionally, emotionally, and spiritually. He doesn't understand why he keeps repeating the same mistakes over and over again and continues to dwell on the past as he desperately dreams of the future.

All of us have our own set of visible (and invisible) struggles to work through -- obstacles that the Nodes of the Moon can help us isolate and resolve while simultaneously freeing us to move forward on our destined path.

We all know that knowledge is power...and that's why I offer a bit of it to you...to give you the strength a nd courage you need to not only live, but thrive.

This week I'd like to begin with a brief overview of the Leo Sign North Node/Aquarius Sign South Node position.

To stArt, let's take a look at some keywords. These words describe the polarity between these two opposing signs and can offer you a glimpse of the soul journey that the individual with this nodal position is on.

Just remember that the south node represents the comfortable but not necessarily healthy habits within your personality - patterns that have accumulated over lifetimes that now need to be acknowledged and released. The north node, on the other hand, represents your soul's potential - the direction of the future...the behavioral habits that will lead you to greater happiness and the kind of life that y ou will find fulfilling.

Here are a few Aquarius South Node traits that should be put to rest, sort of speak, if the individual with this nodal position is to live an emotionally rich life:

Overly logicalremoterepressedimpersonalopinionatedtoo unpredictablealooferraticradicalcoldintolerantoblivioustoo detached.

Here are a few Leo North Node traits that the individual might at first find foreign but eventually will need to acquire if he is to connect to his true soul potential and live the life he was meant to live:

Generouscourageousfun loving.leaderheArt-centeredcommandinginspiringdignifiedinfluentialdramaticwilling to actwhimsicalself-confident.

The journey from an Aquarius Sign south node to a Leo Sign north node will take some work. Bu t then again, so does everything thats worth doing. Obstacles are simply strategically placed hurdles that are to teach and show us the power of our own strength and courage. So as long as the Leo north node individual remembers to never lose sight of the ultimate goal, he should have no problem achieving and holding it firmly within his hands.

The Leo Sign north node reveals a soul that has spent lifetimes dependent on other peoples ideas and opinions. Therefore, as he arrives into this world, he still feels a strong pull towards groupstoward sharing common intereststoward accomplishing unified goals.

Unfortunately, this dependence on the group as well as his friends only leaves him disappointed at the end. Each time he reaches out for support, he is left standing alone on his own two feet. The abandonment hurts, but this is what his soul wants him to feel. Because his soul mission in this lifetime is to develop his own identityhis own willand h is own courage. To stop relying on others and begin depending on himselfexpressing his own opinions rather than those of whom he represents. He must finally learn to be a leader and forget being a follower.

The request mentioned above is only the first of three favors asked by his Leo Sign north node. The second would be that he reconnects to his heArt. This individual has spent lifetimes as an aloof, impersonal, and somewhat cold person always keeping contacts at a comfortable distance. In this lifetime, his Leo Sign north node will ask him to depend less on his intellect and reason when dealing with others, and instead, make a conscious effort to interact with others in a more loving, involved, and personal manner. This reawakening of the heArt will allow him to connect to his solar power so that he can use it to become the spiritual king he is meant to be.

The last but not least request of his Leo Sign north node will be that he bravely expresses the unique individuality that belongs only to him. This individual is so used to thinking for the collective and is such a worshiper of complete equality, that he has forgotten what it is like to remain an individual within the group.

Fortunately (a bit painful to him at the time), his Leo Sign north node will urge him to take center stage and receive applause. It will ask him to stop expecting approval and force him to move forward with his beliefs even in the absence of support. And it will help him let go of his fear of standing out in the crowd, and the world at large, while simultaneously encouraging him to use his unique abil ities to lead others toward progress.

The Leo Sign north node individual is meant to play, inspire, and love. He can teach us how to be courageous when we want to retreat, how to use the power of our will to achieve our goals when we are ready to give up, and how to develop the unshakable spirit we need in order to stand up against the expectations of the world.

The life journey of the Leo Sign north node individual might in the beginning be somewhat lonesome. Because he will have to spend at least a pArt of his life alone in order to develop his inner strength. However, once he is strong and ready to take the throne, there is almost nothing that can stand in his way. Nothing!

Having said all that, it might not be such a bad idea to fill your surroundings with as many sym bolic representations of the Leo Sign as possible. Surrounding yourself with Leo sign colors, Leo sign fragrances, and Leo sign ornaments will remind you of the soul mission you're on and help you find your unique path to fulfillment.

Now if it's your mate that has the Leo sign north node, and you do that for your mate, well...that's about the greatest gift that you could ever give him/or her. Because there's nothing like the feeling one gets when he realizes that he has found someone who really gets him -- a true friend...lover...and the irreplaceable soul companion he's been searching for his entire life.

...that soul companion who is you!

Have an adventurous journey my friend!
