Psychic Readings What Can a Psychic Really Tell You?

If you are familiar with me and my concepts, then you may already be aware that I have been trying to help change some of the negative views that many people have about Psychics and what they do. Since I have covered some of those aspects in other articles I want to focus more on what a psychic should be and what you can reasonably expect to learn from a psychic reading.

The most profound concept that came into my awareness at the beginning of this journey for me as a psychic advisor was the idea that we are all here to learn something; to grow and evolve towards perfection of the soul. When a real psychic is doing their job, they are assisting you in an awareness of certain aspects of your life when you seek out psychic advice. The reason psychic advice can be so powerful is because it can p rovide much needed insight into your life that you would otherwise not be aware of because you may be so embroiled in the day-to-day activities and events of your life that you shut out your own intuition and your own ability to access your Higher Self. Psychics are accessing unseen elements in nature; however within all of us exists a hidden, decipherable code that persons with highly developed psychic intuition and/or with the use of certain divination tools, can more readily access. These persons were either born with a natural gift and/or has developed it.

Once I found my true path, I decided to make it my mission to help those who seek it to find the power of their inner world and to access Higher Consciousness through spiritual practice. A psychic (a term which really is not to me accurat ely descriptive of what we do) is supposed to help you to help yourself. Not take the place of your own inner powers, insights or judgment by showing you that you can do this for yourself. A true intuitive psychic should be used for guidance and to give you probable outcomes based on the energy that you are channeling at the time of your reading. You see, a prediction can change because you have the power to change it, especially after someone tells you they see a thing that will happen but which you have the power to change. This is particularly useful when your advisor sees a possible negative outcome to a situation. This is in actuality an opportunity to change that possibility by changing your thinking, action, reaction or beliefs about a situation. Every conflict is just an opportunity to harmonize energy based on your thoughts and actions. Every outcome is not necessarily pre-ordained and fixed.

Many people need help to find their way and when you are spea king with a talented, authentic psychic, you are opening up more possibilities in exercising your free will to be at cause in your life as opposed to being effected by uncontrollable circumstances. Deep profound insights into your life can have a powerful affect on your consciousness and bring about the very thing you want, empowerment. Its a much touted word these days, but it is for real. It is the quest that all souls (whether they know it or not) are moving towards as we travel the spiral upwards to perfection.

Having said all of that, what a psychic can tell is varied. First, you have to establish what kind of information you are seeking. Second, you have to find the right psychic who can provide you with this information. Now, not all Psychics are created equal and this article assumes that you have done your homework and have established that you are working with a professional and ethical practitioner.

Know Your Psychic Different Psychics Have Different Areas of Expertise

There are some Psychics out there who claim to be 100% accurate, can tell all, knows all, that they are a psychic, a medium, an astrologer, crystal reader, reiki master, etc. I find that Psychics that claim to be everything to everyone, most likely are prob ably neither professional nor ethical. Find out specifically what your psychic does best! Many professional Psychics will tell you what they can and cannot do. For instance, a medium can be a psychic but all Psychics are not mediums. So if you are wishing to contact a loved one who has crossed over, then you should seek an authentic psychic medium. All Psychics are NOT mediums. Some Psychics are clairvoyant (which means clear seeing) and have visions. In my experience, I have talked with many clairvoyant Psychics who are indeed able to see visions in the past, present or future. The same goes for someone who is empathic who can feel anothers emotions. Some Psychics can do both, but some can do only one or two practice areas very well.

Different Psychics Have Different Methods

Whether your psychic is clairvoyant, clairaudient, empathic, telepathic, a medium, uses divination tools such as Tarot, Runes, I Ching, or even numerology and astrology, the extent to which they can tell you certain information will be based on their experience in their craft, their skill, knowledge and natural gifts. All these elements play a part in getting you accurate psychic information during your reading and you especially want someone who is knowledgeable if they are going to be able to help you based on channeling from a higher realm. Some Psychics use tools, some do not. Depending on how a psychic worker discovered their gift and how they have practiced it, will determine their skill level. I recall seeing a program on television where this psychic actually read peoples' butts (yes, their behinds). There were actually people showing her their butts and she would read them. Go figure. No one should ever judge what it is that connects a person with higher consciousness. For some it may be the Tarot for others could be butts, but spiritual gifts come in all shapes and sizes, no pun intended. It is mastery that should concern us. Psychic mastery is a discipline like anything else and anyone seeking psychic advice should want someone who has mastered their gift to a certain degree in order to help others with it.

Some Common Pitfalls to Watch Out For

I have found through many years of using Psychics, clairvoyants, etc. that some can see certain types of things but may not be able to assist you at all with what it is that concerns you. For instance, you call someone who claims to be clairvoyant and you want to know whether or not you will have a reconciliation with your lover and she sees that you have a new puppy and that youre wearing a yellow scarf and you are blown away by this information. Wow, incredible. That is a gift for sure--to be able to do that and see that without seeing or knowing the person. So many everyday people have psychic gifts but that does not necessarily make them capable of helping you with a serious situation in your life that requires specialized help or someone who is experienced and knowledgeable and skilled in their craft at getting you real psychic answers channeled from Higher Consciousness.

Now even though that particular clairvoyant was able to see what you were wearing and that you had a new puppy does not mean that they can see clearly and profoundly the answers you seek. Their ability may not be a match for your concerns. I have found that pe ople who are amazed by just small, little things like that tend to believe everything that clairvoyant says when in reality their gift is a gift of seeing You physically and what is in your physical surroundings, which is an excellent talent called remote viewing BUT is not a skill match for your reconciliation question or your career question. It is worth developing as a methodology for certain types of readings. But the tendency to believe everything from that point on is very strong because to an inexperienced seeker of psychic advice, this is amazing enough to cause you to make the erroneous determination that this person can see everything. And that is not the case many times over. So all this is to say, ask the psychic you may be calling or contacting to spell out exactly what their expertise is and you make the determination that this psychic is the one for you.

If a psychic is empathic, they can feel anothers feelings/emotions. If a psychic is telepathic, they can know anothers thoughts. If a psychic is clairvoyant they can see the past, the present and the future through visions. If a psychic is clairaudient, they receive/hear information even sounds in their mind. If a psychic is clairsentient, they can actually capture information through physical sensations associated with you or a person you are asking about. Keep in mind that the skill level of each practitioner is going to vary and this is another bit of information you want to inquire about. How much experience do they have?

All these abilities alone if untrained or at the beginning stages may not be able to assist you but when combined with training, experience and knowledge, you can a have a most unique experience with an authentic intuitive advisor that can help you in powerful ways that will assist you in your personal empowerment, provide insightful answers to your questions and probable outcomes. Remember, outcomes are based on the current energy tha t surrounds you at the time of your reading and without a doubt can change. Many people are under the mistaken perception that if its meant to be, then there is nothing you can do to change a thing. There are indeed some things that occur in every life that are destined to be because of certain preordained events that must take place in the life for your souls growth or in many, many cases, due to karmic debts and the resulting correction of imbalances created by misuse of certain energies in previous lifetimes. Then there are other life experiences where free will is at play and it is your very decision or action that is the thing that is being tested. So a psychic reading is not meant to bypass experience because your soul will undergo what it must to complete its stopover on this plane of existence, but an expert psychic reading can help you to identify that which is eluding you or some point you seem to be missing and help point you in the right direction. Or, your p sychic can identify a block or a karmic pattern that you are having trouble dealing with. Sometimes its not just what Mom and Dad did to us as children. Sometimes just to become self-aware is empowering in and of itself. To become aware of something significant through guided spiritual forces can have an overwhelming effect on a person. It could be that very moment which becomes a turning point in your life. The true psychic spiritual advisor has done their job well if they can help you in this way. But they are not a substitute for experience and a professional, ethical psychic would never try to make you dependent on them.

What a Psychic Should Not be Telling You

Also, conversely, we should take a look at, what a psychic should not be telling you. A psychic should not be telling you what decisions to make. Always take away from your reading empowering elements that help you to make your own decisions about your life. An ethical and responsible psychic should never predict death. They should not propose doing spells for you that will change the course of events or another person or to negatively affect anothers life supposedly for your benefit. Engaging in this type of activity will only bring about negative karma on you and this psychic, and the karmic consequences could be devastating. This is totally unethical. A psychic should never tell you that they can make something happen for you because that is patently false. No one else can make something happen for you because a psychic advisor does not have any special powers to control your fate or others behavior. Psychic advisors are suppose to be spiritual people who have chosen to help others using spiritually developed talents but never choosing to use those talents to boost their own ego, control anothers will, or make you psychologically dependent. Those types are out there. Beware of Psychics who tell you that they will need to perform energy work on you through long meditations at a great cost. If they tell you you have a negative block or curse this is a notorious psychic scam. If you encounter a psychic like this, even if they do seem to have psychic ability, do yourself a favor and hang up or leave immediately. You may want to read my article How to Spot a Fake Psychic to expand your knowledge in this area.

So, know your psychic, have a clear idea of what it is you need to know so you can make the best selection. Ask your psychic what they specialize in because no one specializes in everything. Let them stick to what they know or at which they are best doing. And make sure that they have training and experience. There is nothing worse than getting a psychic reading from someone who does not know what they are doing even if they may have a g ift that is undeveloped and not qualified towards something specific. Do your homework, ask the right questions and realize the limitations of a psychic practitioner. No one but God is all-knowing and 100% accurate. Ignore anyone that makes these types of claims. Thats just for the gullible and uninformed.

Tarot Card Reading

Nobody knows the true origin of Tarot cards. What we do have for historical relics, are decks that have survived from 15th century Italy, when they were used in card games, the decks being individually drawn and painted, often commissioned by rich patrons. At some point in the eighteenth century, they were taken up again by scholars of the occult, with their designs and patterns being credited for influence on certain areas and features of life. Out of this rediscovery, came the modern day interpretation of the Tarot cards as a tool of divining the future, according to what cards were dealt.

The deck consists of 78 cards in two specific groups. One, called the major arcana, consists of 22 cards having numbers and specific designs relating to common areas of life or existence, such as strength, love, justice, etc. The other 56 cards of the deck are divided into four groups represented by cups, wands, swords, and pentacles. Each of these groups is related to the m anner in which a person faces life.

A spread or dealing of the cards, may include 6-15 cards laid out in a specific pattern. The interpretation of the cards is based on: the position a particular card is in, which could indicate that event is in the past, present or future; which cards are nearest, thus influencing that aspect of a person's life, and the reader's ability to relate the meaning of one card, to the next.

Spiritulizing Saturn

HOLDING ON, HOLDING IN, OR HOLDING UP?

We all know that Saturn takes about 28-29 years to encircle the Zodiac, meaning that every planet and angle in your horoscope will be contacted by it that often to ensure its own delightful brand of challenge! And if you live double or triple that age, you'll enjoy that much more of the fun. While Saturn conjuncting anything is always a trial, one of the most difficult of its passages is its journey over (or square, or opposing, et al) the Moon, representing the emotions. We'll get to this later.

Tracking Saturn

In general, there are several ways to experience Saturn's passages, especially the hard ones. Of course, there's the natal (birth) pattern. Occurring during one's formative years, there is nothing to do about it but live through itand some don't! But there are also transits, progressions (secondary and solar arc), returns (solar, lunar, and Saturn's own), eclipses and other lunations. Saturn's transi ts take about three-quarters of a year over a particular degree (although every so often a lucky soul can see it zoom by in mere weeks! 1). This longer passage will feel like an eternity, and in the event of its own return - depending on its natal aspects - can be one of the more difficult periods in life.

Lunar returns, by definition, last only the month; solar, the year. If Saturn shows up in these in especially difficult aspects, the given period will be problematical. Eclipses and lunations (new and full moons) will trigger natal or newly-formed patterns, and their influence can last anywhere from a few weeks to many months.

And finally (saving the best for last), Saturn's progressions will drag on for a year or two before exactitude and for the good part of the year that it wanes away. (The thing to realize about progressions is that Saturn itself, being a slow-moving outer planet, will not move far from its birth position by secondary progression, but can move quite a distance away from its birth position by solar arc progression (also called solar arc direction), a calculation based upon adding the solar arc to every other planet in the birth chart. This latter type of progression allows Saturn to reach natal planets to which it had no original connection, and also allows other planets to reach it, kind of like a transit.)

Since Saturn's transits to any degree are felt for of a year, and Saturn's solar arc progressions for 3-4 years (two approaching, one on, and one leaving), both types of passages can represent quite a challenging period in one's life. And just for good measure, yes, it's possible to have solar arc Saturn conjuncting a natal planet at the same time that transiting Saturn does so (or makes a hard aspect to it), and even have difficult combinations emphasized by Saturn in a solar return chart, and/or with a few lunations to these sensitive degrees thrown in for good measure! Whew!

Now, just imagine if all that damage was focused on the one planet in your chart where you're most vulnerable: the Moon! I'll get to this in a moment.

The Principle of Containment

As a Capricorn with my natal Saturn in aspect to my Sun, Mercury, Moon, Node, Jupiter, and Pluto, and having recently experienced a Saturn station on an angle, and both a prolonged solar arc progressed Saturn-Moon combination and a Saturn transit squaring my Moon, and soon to have a hard Saturn transit that will form a grand cardinal cross to Sun, Mercury and Midheaven), I've found myself contemplating Saturn's energy in order to figure out a positive way to handle it. (It was either that, or curl up and fetal-ize!) In this regard, I've come up with what I'll call The Principle of Containment. It uses both Saturn's limitations and Capricorn's patience and gallows humor, and its application will, I believe, carry you to wisdom and empowerment.

In short, what I'm prop osing is a way to handle Saturn in order to mitigate but not deny suffering.

Emotional Pain

Sometimes emotional pain comes about through a loss, but it can also occur because of a lesson. While the key event often occurs under a hard Saturn passage, it sometimes happens earlier and is suffered only when Saturn forms its subsequent aspect, such as the shell-shock of a dynamic incident and the later unfolding of its ensuing emotion. When people are in pain, they either grieve and suffer or repress their ache, as though these are their only choices. Whereas grief is healthy and repression is not, excess grief can run amok and paralyze. Sadness, given full rein, can devolve into depression, illness, isolation, and many other lingering negative expressions of aching emotion.

In truth, it's neither the loss, restriction, or frustration of the lesson that causes suffering; it's the emotions that arise from such. If we, as humans, did not have the gift o f feelings we would react to the event as do animals: in the moment, alert, processing the new development, taking the change in stride, and moving on 2. We wouldn't develop anxieties, diseases, and complexes, or need Prozac! There is a lot to learn from the animals, who bear up to their fate with aplomb, and simply integrate all that befalls them into their total experience of being-ness, whereas humans dramatize their plights and make mountains out of the simplest travail. You are above the animal kingdom but not separate from it. Look to the creatures of the physical plane as a kind of role model, and take what comes as part of your lessons, part of your destiny.

-- Received via The Brotherhood of Light Workers on 8/31/01

In the case of natal (karmic, very early) experience, we can do little about this because on a soul level we've chosen to begin life with certain challenges and don't have enough self-awareness as yet to do anything about our childho od predicaments. But as adults we have choice. And choice can lead us away from suffering and into something more manageable, more contented. Curiously, as this concept was jelling in my mind, an article appeared in a national magazine 3 discussing the burgeoning understanding that a tenet of modern psychotherapy - remembering and venting one's trauma - may produce more suffering than healing for the patient. Researchers, in other words, are realizing that the upshot of encouraging someone to wallow in his or her pain only prolongs darkness, resulting in the opposite of health. The article went on to proclaim the virtues of repressing the dark memories instead of dwelling in them.

This direction is similar to where I too was headed, except that rather than head backwards towards repression, I'm veering off towards something else, something that can be considered a different way of handling one's pain. I've chosen to call it containment. Let me explain:

Containment versus Repression

Pain is an emotion. (We're not discussing the physical kind of pain here, but this process can have application even for that.) Emotion is, almost by definition, the opposite of structure, of form, of boundaries. It's hard to uncover emotion's borders: when did it begin, what is its middle, and when will it end? Likewise, it's difficult if not impossible to assign a measurable quality to emotion: is it weak or strong? Does my pain hurt more than yours? At best, emotional pain is relative. It's relative from person to person, and from one event to another. It's relative over the passage of time. And it's even relative in the way people process an event through their heredity, culture, age and so forth. The stoic and the hysteric will react quite differently to the same incident, as will the youth and the sage, or the hero and the 98-lb.-weakling! But none of it can be considered wrong. It's all just part of being human. The only generalization about emotional pain that is always true is that we hate being in it and devoutly want to get past it when we are!

Emotional pain is one of the most human of all conditions. Its sufferance leads directly to compassion, the ability to empathize with another whose pain is recognized and remembered. Those few people who are really incapable of feeling pain exhibit behavior that the rest of us usually label inhuman - cold, robotic, deadened, unfeeling, zombie-ish. In fact, other than a few really new souls (called infant souls), most of those who exhibit such behavior are actually so numbed by prolonged and acute pain that their only coping strategy is to retreat into an unfeeling state. It is beyond the scope of this article, or my training, to explore such type of psychological trauma further, but it's my intention to provide an alternative approach to those of us who are facing pain that is still within manageable proportions.

The two us ual coping strategies, as mentioned, are repression and expression. By the latter, to express, is meant to let grief have full rein ad infinitum whereas by the former, to repress, is meant to bury, to forcibly stuff under. My dictionary defines repression thus: To keep under restraint or control. To put down; quell, as a rebellion. To check, curb, rein, restrain, subdue, suppress. This takes energy and is hard work. The image I get is of something rascally that wants to keep popping out, or worse, something monstrous under wraps that wants to escape! Neither choice seems desirable to me.

On the other hand, there is this thing I've been talking about: containment. My dictionary defines containment this way: The act or fact of containing; holding, enclosing, surrounding. To include or compromise. To keep within bounds, as oneself or one's feelings. It seems a much better strategy. Emotional pain can be held in conscious awareness, enclosed and surrounded by ob servation, neither allowed to run wild nor pushed down into the subconscious. It can be witnessed and thus managed. The principle of containment means that you can learn to sit with your pain without needing to run from itso long as you learn how to negotiate it. What better way to use Saturn to your Moon than to create a protective structure within which your feelings can be held as you work with your other powers to endure, to thrive, and to remain creative?

How to Practice Containment

How does it work? How can you utilize it as a valuable technique in a period of sadness? I would not be able to teach this if I had not applied it to my own experience first. Yes, it takes effort. Yes, you will lapse, then have another go at it! But it's do-able, especially for us astrologers who have the priceless gift of foresight to see happier times ahead. We, more than any humans on earth, can define the boundaries of our time of pain, knowing when it will end or be surpassed by happier energies. Pain is felt viscerally. Let me try to describe it. Your heart aches. Your gut is tense, upset, unsettled. Your thoughts go straight to gloom, to every misery you ever felt of a similar nature, to every depressive expectation you ever cradled in your mind.

When an attempt is made to see ahead, you can envision only a future full of the same misery as you now feel. So, quite literally, the past, present and future all stink! And there's no surcease, no space for anything but the aching. It's hell to reside in your body or your mind. For God's sake, you're in pain!!! What would it take to remain in the present, to observe the pain? First, you'd need to strengthen your core and center your energies by pulling in all loose ends. Believe in yourself. Learn to tame neediness. Don't rush outwards in a vain search for escape (pills, alcohol, co-dependency, risky gambling - in fact, every addiction). Every person you lean on is one of your loose ends. (Having loose ends is the opposite of feeling whole.) Every substance you turn to is another loose end. All such actions dissipate your power. You'd have to watch yourself sending energies outward to these places in a self-defeating attempt to numb the misery, and then wake up to see this very process as weakening. You'd have to find the strength to pull back inwards every useless act of this sort, every wasteful action.

When you pull in all your loose strings, you find yourself growing stronger, more whole, less and less needy. Next, you'd need to protect your boundaries. Say no! If a person is the source (cause) of your pain, cut him/her loose. Even if he/she is beloved, or family, remove yourself from his/her influence (at least temporarily). Aloneness is not the source of pain when togetherness was the root of it in the first place. Go within; get to know yourself much better. Enjoy yourself for your blessed qualities, and deliberately erase (cancel out) any hurtful comments another has made about youproviding that you first gain any morsels of wisdom from such, if possible. Polish the beauty of your true nature; eradicate the obvious imperfections. But never buy into the ugliness of another's jealous words. Make it your project to love yourself, and to project that love outwards. Work hard at being (becoming) a terrific person to be around, and you'll soon find others gravitating towards your magnetic attraction. And finally, you'd need to look for help only by going upwards (spiritual searching) not outwards (other people, dependency). Immerse yourself in wisdom teachings.

Seek authentic masters, and reject the phonies. Learn the spiritual trick of moving into joy by altering your thought construct(s). Then the chemistry of the body will follow. In a recent article, 4 factors that constituted authentic happiness included an everybody wins strategy, tapping into good moments and successes i n the past to deal with present problems, determining which strengths to use or avoid with particular people or situations, finding open doors when others close them, enhancing relationships by aligning one's own with one's partner's strengths, and leaving a legacy. In another recent article, 5 listing (i.e., counting) one's blessings resulted in marked improvements in mental health and even some aspects of physical health as well.

This way lays empowerment!

Free Psychic Readings Are They A Gift of the Spirit?

There's thousands of you out there looking for free Psychic advice and glimpses into your hidden world of thoughts, activities and what lies beneath. As much as an authentic reader would love to be available to give free Psychic readings to everyone, it's physically, emotionally and mentally not possible. A free Psychic reading takes as much time and energy as a Psychic reading that someone purchases.

Many Psychic readers today took the time and energy to study and learn about their craft and have spent hundreds of hours giving nothing but free Psychic readings. For a period of years some genuine, caring spiritual advisors never even considered taking money for their work. As an apprentice, one is humbly content to read and learn and advance. Then one day, something happens. It's almost as though one can actually feel a physical transcendence into a spirtual realm. People can become astonished at what occurs when someone actually connects to the spirit realm and divines insights and answers into the lives of the subjects they are reading. Personally, when this happened to me, I began to notice that when I was doing a free Psychic reading for someone, this enhanced or increased level of energy vibrated throughout my body. Today, it's almost unnoticeable. But when this occurs to someone studying the mystical art of divination using natural Psychic gifts or divination tools such as the tarot, it can mark the beginning of a special awareness and a higher level of experience. One finally recognizes that what they are doing is powerfully real and some extrasensory thing is happening when they are actually doing a reading. It is at this point, when a spiritually gifted person realizes that what they do is so powerful (powerful in the sense that they are capable of accessing a channel and bringing forth truth and knowing) that they come to realize that this can be their life's work. And as we all know, when we go to work, we usually do so with the reasonable expectation of an equal exchange. Well, that means, one could expects to earn a living and to support their family as a result. Not to mention the rewarding and confident feeling one gets in knowing they are giving something of value to the person getting a Psychic reading--and their true calling is being realized.

Is a Free Psychic Reading Really a Gift of the Spirit?

My father always use to say, Free advice is worth the price. Some people think that because what we do originates from Spirit, that we should offer our talent freely and help people without charge. Recently, I was asked, Why can't you get a totally free Psychic reading anymore? I responded by explaining the expenses that are incurred to run a service and the energy it requires to conduct a real Psychic reading, whether it is free or paid. Personally, when I first started to do this spiritual work as a full-time job, after just three readings per day, I was exhausted. These would, of course, be readings lasting more than 20 minutes. But, I observed how draining this work was and had to take measures to make sure that I was able to keep my energy level up to adequately service my clients.

Today, there are many, many spiritually gifted people out there earning their living providing Psychic services to seekers of the light. This is what they do to take care of their family and to pay bills like everyone else. I am amazed at the demand for free Psychic readings but who wouldn't want to get anyth ing they wanted for free. Free offers are designed to attract you to our work and to give a measure of our talent on a complimentary basis; but, to give a totally free Psychic reading, which many people want, would be at the expense of the authentic intuitive advisor who really wants to help and that is not realistic. As an example, at one time, I offered free minutes through a chat program I had on my website. The response was so overwhelming that I had to stop altogether. One has to think of a way for people to get some part of their Psychic reading for free but not feel overwhelmed at the same time. After all, an advisor may ha ve many regular clientele for whom they serve and for which they are paid. An offer of a few free minutes with only a very small minimum requirement is really one of a variety of equitable offers a seeker of a free Psychic reading can get to sample an advisor's abilities.

I just wanted everyone to know that it is not possible to give all those who would like a free Psychic reading, a totally free absolutely free Psychic reading and why. And that is why the m ajority of services that have a free offer keep it to a minimum so that you are getting something complimentary as an incentive to try their service. We are all servants of God but even our pastors and ministers must rely upon money to carry on their work and to take care of their responsibilities.

Becoming a paying client is probably the best way to actually get free minutes on a regular basis for your free Psychic reading or to save you money. For instance, many private, professional Psychic counselors do not begin charging their clients immediately when they call and allow for prepartory time before actually beginning the re ading. And, if you purchased a specific amount of time, your advisor may not charge for running over so that they can finish up. This is a benefit of being a paying client. Not so with Psychic lines or large networks. But if you carefully search for a qualified, private professional, chances are that you will build a wonderful relationship where you will benefit greatly and that is not just in saving money. After all, you are getting the benefit of channeled knowledge which takes time and energy for which the exchange is in dollars and cents. We are all made happy because balance is the goal in life and when someone gives, it is a spiritually correct principle to receive as this creates harmony. Find Out What Astrology Can and Can't Do for You

Almost everyone worries about the Future at one point or another. We become uncertain about income, Relationships, and Health, and we do everything in our power to ensure positive outcomes. When personal strength fails, some people decide to turn to Astrology and stargazing in hopes of learning more about what lies in their path and what they can do to prepare for it.

If you are thinking about calling a 900-telephone line for Advice, keep in mind that anyone can set up shop as a Horoscope reader, and there are many scams in place on the Internet and in the yellow pages. Think about it: anyone who could really tell the Future could make a pretty good living by working for government agencies, wealthy clients, and serve their own interests through investments and gaming. The vast majority of people purporting to tell the Future share very little personal information with a client, but tend to make more generalized statements, like Happiness is in your Future or You wil l lose a loved one in the foreseeable Future. Does foreseeable refer to one week or ten years? Without detailed facts, no one should seriously consider the Advice of someone with untried or unproven claims.

With that in mind, though, there do seem to be those who have a sixth sense in understanding much about a person they have just met. Sometimes these people can make claims that seem very close to reality, which, when they come to pass, fit the interpretation offered by a Horoscope reader.

If you are thinking about consulting a medium, or fortuneteller, about your Future, here are some things to consider when selecting a person to contact:

1. How long has the person been reading Horoscopes? Has she lived in the immediate area for a long or short time? Does she live in a place that betokens someone making a successful living?

2. Where did the reader learn her skills? Who trained her? When did she realize she had second sight? Does she get ongoing tra ining or study? Have her skills improved over time?

3. Can the person tell her own Future? How has that worked out for her? What has she learned about herself and her clients in practicing this skill?

4. With what degree of accuracy can the teller predict your Future? Can she offer immediate insight that will prove her claims? Are there client referrals that you can check with to see if their predictions came true?

5. Ask about the tellers methods. How does she see into the Future? How reliable is her methodology?

Take specific questions or areas of your life that you would like to ask about during your consultation. Write down the tellers specific words or phrases so you can check for accuracy later.

If you believe that you have encountered a scam, dont hesitate to report it to the Better Business Bureau to help protect others from falling victim to the scam artist.

Harmony Of The Spheres

Everyday we witness Synchronicity in the Universe. There is a harmony to the planetary cycles and if we listen for the tune, and become acquainted with the rhythm, we can dance in synchrony with the song called Life.

In order to demonstrate to those who doubt, I want to talk a little more about the subject of harmony. Antoine de Saint-Exupery once wrote; All that is essential is invisible to the eye. He was clearly being philosophical in his musings. We cannot see Love or Consciousness but neither do we question whether they exist.

However, lets discuss the quote from a more tangible perspective.

Recently it was revealed that a new security deterrent has been launched on the market. It is a box, the size of a speaker, which can be mounted in ways akin to a CCTV camera. The device is placed in areas of high crime, or where youths tend to congregate on street corners. It has been shown that groups of teenagers cause distress and concern to elderly pedestria ns, local shopkeepers and homeowners. The box emits a noise that is only audible to teenagers and those in their early twenties. The noise is so loud and irritating that the youths cannot bear to be around it for any length of time and quickly disperse.

This remarkable development is called a Mosquito The noise is delivered in high frequency, short wavelengths (pulses) and the device works on the fact that from our mid twenties, the human ear experiences a big drop in its ability to hear upper frequency sounds.

Lets repeat the salient point; The device is totally inaudible to those above 25 years of age !

Now, we take it for granted that animals have different aural abilities. These ultrasonic devices are commonplace in the form of dog whistles or cat deterrents. However, what does this development indicate when it is apparent that a proportion of our population have access to information that the rest of us dont?

We can be flip and cite this as the r eason that teenagers like music which adults find distinctly unpleasurable we now know they are literally hearing something different to us. The implications though are worthy of further sensible discussion, for this device takes ESP out of the realm of the occult and places it slap, bang into the High Street! It has to be viewed as a tacit vindication of those who have long professed to possess the gift of Clairaudience (the ability to hear things not audible within normal hearing ranges).

Our military forces have probably been using these techniques for years, just as they use remote viewing and other ESP techniques, yet deny their existence to the masses. However, what I want to focus on here is that this is yet another invisible force hidden within the usage of wavelength.

Our ethers are already full of invisible wavelengths TV signals, phone and radio signals. Infrared. Microwave, X-ray, Gamma rays and yet we can see none of them. Some are discerned by us as noise, some as heat and, I would posit, some by an invisible feeling which we know as intuition.

It is apparent that by slight alterations in the length, amplitude and phasing of soundwaves their manifestation is altered in the physical world. At certain frequencies (speed of light) we can hear our favourite Radio chat show. Just a slight alteration and we may be able to tune into the nearest airport control tower or the telephone conversation of other people. What else are we able to tune into?

And furthermore what, or where, is the internal dial or mechanism which once found could allow us to naturally tune into invisible to the eye information?

Did you know that the light which we see is really just an energy? The brightness at which we view a light source depends upon the number of photons which strike our eyes. Photons contain wave packets of information. A large number of photons mean the light source appears bright, fewer make it dimmer.

The colours that we perceive arent really there either. The colours that we do see are determined by the wavelength a shorter wavelength makes us see something as blue-er, a longer wavelength appears redder. Fundamentally then, all electromagnetic radiations are the same but each carries a different energy. This energy is distributed in a wave pattern known as an harmonic. Thus all of life can ultimately be related back to a number.

When we look at the use of certain rhythmic frequencies we can also see that they possess a power. We all know the story of the opera singer who can shatter glass. Stories abound of string instruments which start playing themselves when notes of a similar frequency are played nearby. And lets cast our minds back to the opening of the London Millennium Bridge.

Here, in an extract from Wikipedia, is what happened: The Millennium Bridge opened in London on June 10, 2000 but unexpected lateral vibration (resonant structural response) caused the bridge to be closed just 2 days later for modifications. The movements were produced by the sheer numbers of pedestrians (90,000 users in the first day, with up to 2,000 on the bridge at any one time).

The bridge was on the route of a major charity walk and it was an exceptionally fine day. The initial small vibrations obliged the users to walk in synchronisation with the sway, increasing the effect, even when the bridge was comparatively lightly loaded at the beginning of the day. This swaying motion earned it the nickname the Wobbly Bridge. Attempts were made to limit the number of people crossing the bridge: this led to long queues, but dampened neither public enthusiasm for what was something of a white-knuckle ride, nor the vibrations themselves. Resonant vibrational modes have been well understood in bridge design. However this was the first time a bridge had displayed this type of pedestrian excited lateral motion. This motion was caused by the human rea ction to small lateral movements in the bridge, which set up a driven harmonic motion in the bridge. The bridge had to be closed, not only because it was impassable but because these rhythms set up a vibration which has the power to damage the structure of the bridge.

Theories exist in esoteric literature that it was knowledge of this force that helped build the Pyramids. Certain rhythmic sound frequencies when used positively are said to have the power to levitate heavy objects, whilst when used at another vibrational frequency, sound has the power to destroy, such as in the fall of the Walls of Jericho - 'the Priests blew the trumpets, the people shouted and the walls fell flat'.

Chording into the symphony that governs life is our avian population. Birds are thought to set up resonances through their song. These trigger certain manifestations in the natural world, such as the opening of certain flowers, or signals which order the behaviour of other wildlife, f lora and fauna. Where the destruction of our birds would leave us in the event of a global Bird Flu pandemic, is a subject worthy of great consideration.

There are infinite demonstrations of the synchrony in the Universe emanating from the harmonic rhythms which flow through every facet of life. Nowhere is this more readily available for scrutinisation than in the study of Zipf's law.

ZIPF'S LAW

This law is known as a power law. Roughly translated it states that the frequency of occurrence of an event will eventually settle down into a harmonic arrangement. This law can be observed at work in a multitude of events. Amongst the most common are.

Frequency of accesses to web pages
Frequency of keyword usage in a search engine
Words in the English language
For instance, words in Shakespeares play Hamlet.
Populations of cities
Income Distribution amongst the top earning 3% of individuals
Size of earthquakes
Notes in musical perf ormances
Revenue of corporations
Gold records by musical artist
Internet traffic by site
Names in a population

To take Populations of cities as an example, George Kingsley Zipf took the population of 50 cities in the United States in 1930. He discovered that if New York was the largest, the second largest city has half the population of New York, the third largest has one third the population of New York and so on down until the 50th city which had exactly one fiftieth the population of New York. This holds true today and across the series of examples above and many others too.

The reason for this is not understood by physicists. Yet once again computers are now proving what many have known all along - the truth of Universal harmony.

Our World orders itself in natural rhythms. Our planets are part of that harmony (a harmony of the spheres) and it is my belief that the ancient art of Astrology remains one of the only disciplines that is able to translate the music into a cohesive understanding, or an En-light-enment, of our place in the greater order of things.

Yanthras Explored Enigmas!

The Word Yanthra is of Sanskrit origin means Machine in English. The terminology is used here with reference to Mystical Diagrams representing Universal energy.

From time immemorial cross section of civilizations was making use of one or other type of Mystical diagrams for desired ends though mostly in crude ways. There are evidences of uses of mystical diagrams by people of Harappa and Mohanjadaro civilizations . If we trace back further the early nomadics were having their own system of diagrams and rituals for curing of diseases , warding off animals and spirits and also to control fellow beings. Though no scientific evidences may be available for all these there are numerous references in Hindu civilization and History as evident in Many puranas , Vedas and ancient scriptures.

Evolution Of Yanthras:-

Though it may be difficult to know the exact timing of the development of the scientific and systematic preparation of the Yanthras presently being used as per Indian vedic system that is found be scientifically designed and rationally described, there are many references about the same in ancient Sanskrit texts and manuscripts that there were the end result of great Tapas (focused enquiry) and consequent intuitions.

Many an eyebrow may be raised here when I refer about intuitions and Tapas it is matter of fact that there are many such concepts eluding human wisdom, intelligence, and comprehension. The ultimate secret of Yanthras is also one among them.

But it is a fact that these are not random generated checks , triangles, circles or other geometrical figures but a systematic ,scientific and well defined complex diagram charged with live syllables representing sounds and they themselves represent the universe and its energy .

How does Yanthras work?

As mentioned above Yanthras are energy centres artificially ,made and designed to attract a particular frequency of energy required for a given situatio n. In simple terms it may be well compared to the receiving sets of a Television set or Radio that retransmit the picture or voice broad cast at different frequencies. A yanthra on the other hand picks up such type of energies or vibrations required to full fill a desired objective.

The energy so conceived is directed to an individual/s or situations. It is based on the theory of universal soul and individual soul to say the jeevatma and paramatma and all living things take direction from the latter, the central energy source.

The yanthra besides being a complex geometrical diagram also contains Manthras or specific syllables or sound energies. The combination of both is well synchronized and the full power is unleashed.

As we know Manthras energise specific chakras or energy centres of Human body so also Yanthras positively or negatively influences the chakras. One important aspect of Yanthras like manthras are it not only influence the wearer but also th e people and situations around him/her.

All the vedic Yanthras have a uniform pattern containing a central point and Syllable like a circle or triangle and syllable like Om or Hreem. The same is surrounded by specified circle petals or any other geometric figures .

Each figure represent a specific energy receiver and as such is unique. For example while a triangle represents a higher active energy the petals usually indicates soothing energy .Of course there are exceptions to all these theories.

The Yanthras like a Dynamo generates energy and any kind of Motor can be connected to it. The mechanical device is the intended action and the same runs by the energy it generates.

Some of the mathematical formulas of these diagrams are so complex and infinite like the combinations of Chess that even the super computers are not able to solve or comprehend.

One such instance is of the Sree yanthra or popularly known Shreechakra which is being used for all round prosperity and worship of The Divine mother goddess.

Kinds Of Yanthras and Sources

The Yanthras basically are divided into 3 The first kind exclusively for worship the second as a protective charm and realization of positive objectives and the third the despised and those casting spells.

While among the 3 kinds above there are numerous subdivisions classified in the name of different devatahas (deities) and 6 objectives known as shat karmas means 6 different objectives that includes Attraction, annihilation, immobilization, driving out etc.

There are numerous Indian Sanskrit texts like Yanthra chinthamani, Soundarya lahari, Sarada thilakam to mention a few describing over 10000 Yanthras and more can be made should some one does really research in different combinations. However the Yanthras explainedin these texts are time tested ones and enjoys credibility.

Having described about the basics , efficacy, evolution and types of Yanthras let us see some of the commonly applied Yanthras.
