Revival Of An Astrology

The scientific revolution that started in XVII century has caused some illusions to many western intellectuals, that in the near future all secrets of the world will be discovered by the power of the main and experimental Science. The worldwide recognition of the heliocentric Kopernik theory (Mikolaj Kopernik (14731543) the founder of modern astronomy) and then the discovery of new planets has been seized as a refutation of the Astrology that traditionally used Ptolemys geocentric model (Ptolemy (367?-283?b. c.), astronomer and general in Alexander the Great's army who succeeded him as ruler of Egypt (323-285 b. c.)) and only five visible planets.

As a result, by the end of XVII century in continental Europe the practice of Astrology had actually come to nil. In England some astrological traditions continued and had not been stopped because in England the strong tradition of herb Science included some astrological knowledge.

During this period of time society s tarted to demand from astrologists scientific proofs of their Astrology discoveries, no matter how paradoxical this sounds, because Astrology is one of the most ancient Sciences. At that time the definition of a Science was extremely narrow. Everything that could not be proved by a stick and a rope, appeared unscientific. Those astrologists, who aspired to social acceptance, began to offer (and continue to offer until now) various rationalistic explanations of Astrology. However in relation to the area of knowledge based on the ancient philosophical-religious concepts it turns out not so harmoniously.

At that time a lot of changes happened not only in Science but also huge changes occurred in society by itself. The role of the astrologists in society changed too. During those years many astrologists were at the same time doctors, translators, and mathematicians. They were highly educated people. Their clients were the aristocrats and priests, those who ruled the world at that time. For example, one of the major representatives of the Medieval Astrology Guido Bonatti was nobleman by himself and he predicted to the priests the rank they can reach - bishop, cardinal or even Pope. He used to give advice to the members of the royal family and aristocrats about political, military, and state affairs.

Now the authority passed to businessmen more and more and the growing education among workers has given rise to popular Astrology - that which now fills the last pages of many newspapers and magazines. The education system changed the orientation, now the basic were concentrated on engineers, managers, bankers, and the knowledge of languages and philosophies become less valuable and significant. And when in the second half of XIX century in Europe had began the next revival of Astrology, only a few were capable of using the sources, and the majority of documents were still not translated from Greek, Arabian, and Latin.

Renewal of intere st in Astrology in the XIX century is caused substantially by skepticism of the existing theory that all of Mankinds secrets are possible to explain by means of reason. The understanding of Science began to extend gradually and as a result at the end of XX century nobody is surprise at such Science like psychology - whose subjects and methods are in many cases very far from a rationalistic pattern.

Inspired by the social success of psychology, many astrologists of the XX century began to teach Astrology by combining it with psychology. As a result psychological Astrology was born. Psychological Astrology focused, unlike classical Astrology, not on the objective reality but on the emotional world of the person.

At the same time, by end of the XX century it has increased the interest to classical astrological works, to those methods and directions which have been hidden. Because of that a lot of astrological documents were translated from the Greek and Latin langua ges.

TAROT How Often Should You Have a Reading?

One of my FAQs is, How often should I have a Tarot Card reading? There is no general answer. It depends on your purpose - what type of reading you are having and the way you are using it. If you are looking for some indication about what is happening in general in the future, then you could have a reading every six months or so, or perhaps every year.

This kind of reading tends to involve a bigger spread or layout as Tarot readings are called, with more cards in it. This allows a broader view of trends that may be coming into play around you. It usually tells a reader whether you are in a time of change or of relative stability - whet her new stuff is going to happen or things remain very similar to how they are now. You don't need this kind of reading very frequently. It's big picture stuff and tends to change slowly.

If you are looking at one issue at a time, such as if you are going to get a new job soon, you can ask that question with a smaller kind of layout. A few cards or a Celtic Cross will be fine and will tell you what the possibilities are in that situation. The reading might tell you if you need to add to your skills and head off in a new career direction or search more thoroughly for a job than you are currently doing. If you asked about moving house it might say that moving would be disruptive at this time. The Tarot is always more than just Yes or No. Usually it gives you some advice or insight as well.

With a re ading based on one specific topic you can ask whenever you like as long as the topics are different. It's no good asking the same thing many times, because the answers just become confusing and often merely reflect how you are feeling that day. I always try to discourage people from becoming dependent on divination. Asking the same question again and again, trying to nag the cards into telling you what you want to hear is not healthy. Sometimes life doesn't give us what we want and we have to accept that and get on with things as best we can.

It's better not to ask trivial questions. I have found that the Tarot works best when you've thought out your question carefully and put it in a sensible manner. When you have an answer to a question, then it's a good idea to go away and reflect on it and see how t hat answer can help you with your problem. That is one of the strengths of the Tarot - guidance. It can help us to see solutions for ourselves.

By using the Tarot wisely, it becomes like talking to a good friend. The answers often open up new ways of looking at our lives that can help us bring out the best for ourselves in the future. Like all good friends it responds best if you take notice of the answers it gives.

Vaastu Shastra Useful Tips

4. An underground source of Water, a well, a pond or a tap with a flight of stAirs to the surface of Water situated north, east or no rth east corner of a plot is said to be auspicious.

5. A plot between two bigger plots is not said to be auspicious.

6. A rectangular, circular or gomukhi plot of land is said to be auspicious in domestic vaastu. On the circular plot the building to should be in circular shape.

7. Paths on north or east to the plot are auspicious.

8. A temple, pillar or a ditch in front of the building is not considered to be auspicious.

9. A basement should not be constructed under a resiential plot.

10. The height of the ceiling of every story should be of 12 feet. it must not be less than 10 feet.

Commercial Vaastu :

1. The owner of the commercial house should sit in south, west or south - western portion in such a way that he should be facing north or east.

2. The goods in the shop and showroom should be kept in south, west or north east.

3. No beam should be there over the cash counter, above the owner or the manager.

4. Entrance of the main office should be facing north or east.

5. Canteen should be built in Ageny Kona only.

Are You Playing The Fool to Your Advantage

What does the appearance of The Fool mean for you when it appears in a Tarot spread? Do you get excited or worried? In this short Article we explain what The Fool means when he appears in the Tarot.

The Fool is perhaps one of the most important tarot cards in the deck. He is the first card of the Major Arcana, the first of 22 cards. He is also the only one of the Major Arcana to remain in our modern card deck, appearing as the Joker. His journey is at a deeper level the journey we are all on - the journey through life and life's troubles, as no matter how old we are or what experiences we have been through we will still contine to find ourselves in areas where we are unsure, and vulnerable.

The Fool has appeared in many guises over the centuries in the different decks that have appeared. In the Visc onti Sforza deck he is seen looking a bit like a tramp without shoes in his stocking soles, and threadbare at that! He carries a large stick or staff over his shoulder as though ready to commence a long journey.

In the Wirth deck he looks a bit like the court jester of old, and most like the forerunner of today's joker in the traditional card deck. He has however a cat with it's teeth sunk into his left leg, and a crocodile in the distance. The picture on this card seems to indicate the urge of The Fool to get on with his journey in spite of all obstacles both past and future. The Arthurian Tarot portrays The Fool as Parsifal who sought the mythic Holy Grail, and the Mythic deck depicts him as the Greek god Dionysus, wearing animal skins of many colours, and dancing gaily at the edge of a cliff.

No ma tter which deck we use the appearance of The Fool is a sign that we should follow our own path no matter what. We need to have the courage to jump off the cliff into a new venture if that's what is called for. We need to have faith in our convictions no matter how hard this might be.

There are risks to everything in life and the appearance of The Fool in a spread is a great opportunity for a new beginning provided you are willing to make the jump!

Tarot Card Reading

Nobody knows the true origin of Tarot cards. What we do have for historical relics, are decks that have survived from 15th century Italy, when they were used in card games, the decks being individually drawn and painted, often commissioned by rich patrons. At some point in the eighteenth century, they were taken up again by scholars of the occult, with their designs and patterns being credited for influence on certain areas and features of life. Out of this rediscovery, came the modern day interpretation of the Tarot cards as a tool of divining the future, according to what cards were dealt.

The deck consists of 78 cards in two specific groups. One, called the major arcana, consists of 22 cards having numbers and specific designs relating to common areas of life or existence, such as strength, love, justice, etc. The other 56 cards of the deck are divided into four groups represented by cups, wands, swords, and pentacles. Each of these groups is related to the m anner in which a person faces life.

A spread or dealing of the cards, may include 6-15 cards laid out in a specific pattern. The interpretation of the cards is based on: the position a particular card is in, which could indicate that event is in the past, present or future; which cards are nearest, thus influencing that aspect of a person's life, and the reader's ability to relate the meaning of one card, to the next.

Artificial Intelligence in Celestial and Astronomical Tracking

As we use SuperComputers to track Hurricanes, Weather and Pollution in our Atmosphere so too should we use them to track each and every Celestial object in the visual universe. Indeed NASA has SuperComputers which are capable of this, although putting in all the data and monitoring the entire universe is not easy as our own vantage point continually chances here on Earth and in certain seasons the Sun blocks us from seeing much of our Galaxy.

However once all the information is set into the computer artificial intelligent programmed computers will be able to track all predictions no matter if our visual skew will not allow us to see such, in fact we would know the exact time and location of a Celestial collision even if we were blocked from viewing it, not that we would see the resultant for 100s of thousands of years anyway perhaps, but you get the idea.

Additionally such a computer when fully programmed could track all the Celestial bodies we see back to their beginnings and give us a pretty good view of all events past, present (our present) and future (their future and our future). Perhaps we might even back trace our own beginnings in time or the beginnings of what we call our current home planet; yes I speak of this pale blue dot is a sea of darkness. Consider this in 2006.

What's the Deal with Sedona Arizona?

A friend once told me of a place called Sedona, Arizona. She went on to say that Sedona was one of the five places on Earth to be of a sensitive hot spot of the world. Sedona is a hotspot for many of the Metaphysical world. Each person's experience will vary once there. For some they encounter vibrations, some are able to see visions, and some can speak to the other side.

Flying Stars Fengshui for 2006 : Predictions & Remedies for Main Door Facing South

Flying Stars or Fei Xing is a powerful form of Feng Shui derived from the famous Xuan Kong Fengshui.
