Be Ready When the Moon Comes Visiting

Everybody knows that the sky changes every day, but there is another kind of change that you many not know about.

The Signs and Planets above us are constantly dictating our destiny, but most of us don't have a clue how to understand this.

You can gain some very startling revelations that will convince you that you really need to pay more attention to what's going on up there.

All you need do is keep track of the Moon's daily journey through the heavens and you wlll soon become convinced that you have been depriving yourself of some very valuable information.

What the Moon does for us on earth is to set the energy and mood for the day. It stimulates our Psychic energies.

Haven't you ever noticed that some days are full of fiery energy, frustrating and angry? Other da ys are very social, gentle, upbeat and cooperative. Your good and bad days may be more connected to the Moon than you realize.

For example, some people are born angry. A skilled astrologer can find the cause of this anger by looking at the relationship of a person's inner Planets in their birth chart. Some people's inner Planets are in harmony and others are not.

If you discover that you have a tendency to explosive outbursts, you obviously have some Planets in your birth chart that are not in harmony. A skilled astrologer can explain this to you. He might say something like, Your Pluto is in the sign of Leo and your Moon is in he sign of Scorpio. This is a very stressful combination of energy because. . .

What does that mean? you ask.

It means that you have a tendency to have very strong emotional outbursts.

What can I do about it?

You can begin to observe those days when these energies are going to be triggered by the Moon and y ou can gain a better insight into what causes this to happen.

As the Moon travels through all the Signs in its monthly cycle, it energizes and shines light on your own internal energies. In a sense, the Moon's energies are traveling through you. When it goes through the Signs of Leo or Scorpio, your anger pattern of Pluto versus the Moon will be trigged within you.

This dialogue reveals the value of watching the passage of the Moon each month. the Moon travels not only physically through the heavens, but Psychically through your inner world. If you know your own birth chart and where the Moon is each day of the month, you can make some amazing discoveries whenever it energizes the psychological patterns within you.

These patterns are already set within you at birth. I call the ana lysis of these patterns Planetary Psychology I created this new wave in human awareness because it is far more accurate than traditional psychology. This is why many Jungians, who practice astrology, are really practicing Planetary Psychology. This is a more accurate term than astrology or astropsychology.

If you would like more information on how to read the Planets and learn how to watch the Moon, check out the website below. then you will be ready when the Moon comes visiting.

Astrology & the Galactic Center

At 26 degrees of Sagittarius, the Galactic Center of the Milky Way is hidden behind a veil of dust and gas. With Pluto, our Solar Systems outermost planet (symbolic of the parts of ourselves were least able to access) moving over this same degree, we are experiencing seismic shifts deep in our universal unconscious. The last time this occurred was in 1745, the birth of the industrial revolution. Daily life changed irrevocably as workers moved off the farms to gun production because of the Jacobite rebellion in Britain and textile expansion. The polarity of religious fundamentalism and religious exploration was represented by the birth of Hasidism and of Universalists. Ben Franklin ran with his kite to harness electricity. And of course, the voices of the American and French Revolutions were gaining momentum.

In the 1500s when Pluto was at this degree, the first map of America was published and the Protestant Reformation swept through Europe, laying the seeds for the ground on which the United States was established. Each time Pluto confronts the Galactic Center, we experience a death of the familiar routine of life while we embrace the new birth. It becomes impossible for us to go back to the way things were before, while we grapple with changes that we may not be able to cope with in the most progressive way.

When Pluto traveled through this point in the 1250s, eyeglasses were introduced and Marco Polo headed for China. The illuminating piece about looking at a transit historically is we can see parallels of what occurred in the past with the present. Our medical technology continues to provide options for people, but we must deal with its ramifications. As of today, the wounded US soldiers from Iraq that cannot return to duty totals over 7500. Our technology has altered the potential casualties of this war, but the long-term consequences of maimed survivors with limited services available to them will have a far-reaching impact on our society.

Historically we see how technology has changed how we see life. At this time, a spa owner tells me how her clients dont relax in the massage or treatment. Everyone has her cell phone on or Blackberry lit; we have become married to technology and it seems to have the signatures of a codependent relationship at best, or a battered one at worst.

Another theme has been religious expression and fundamentalism. The USA has its roots in this and we continue to struggle with the inherent paradox of giving complete freedom of religion to all. Plutos message is always about meeting the Shadow in the mirror. Do we embrace and integrate it or do we try to eradicate it, never meeting its lessons?

As the retrograde Pluto returns to the point of the Galactic Center, we are given the opportunity to choose how we will cope with the Age of Destruction the Mayans foresaw. We can reassess choices made when earlier explorers tried to capture new worlds to make them their own. We are integrating cellular changes caused by the increasing electromagnetic field caused by our technology, which will affect the evolution of all life forms on our planet. We can choose if we will re-visit the Sagittarian celebration of the earth and the inherent information we can glean from it. When we stepped forward into the Industrial Revolution, did it have to be at the expense of an agrarian culture and the solidity of the family? Can we balance the freedom technology should avail us with a sophisticated cooperative of farming and education? We have the power of choosing what will be destroyed and what will be born. But make no mistake about it, the more each individual takes responsibility for our cultures destiny, the more Spiritually evolved our decision will be. We have the opportunity to align our Spiritual evolution with our technical evolution and each time we miss the opportunity, it gets more challenging to catch up. The thrust of Plutos pat h is to allow us a chance to go light years in a lifetime.

Setting Psychic Boundaries

With anything that you are learning and developing you need to do develop your psychic with balance, and caution. You must put a general statement to the universe of what you would like to handle. You set boundaries for what you can and cant take in. You clearly define the boundaries of contact. You need to remember that at all times you are the one in control and you can stop contact at any time. You shut down your receiver and stop transmitting at will. You need to become aware of when you are physically drained, and vulnerable, and when you are stronger.

You must also become aware of how to ground yourself, when you need to put up a psychic shield or a wall and how to do this. You must firmly respect your own space and others. No one has the right to control you or bring you under his or her will. You dont have the right to do that to anyone else either. Also only what you allow to take place can take place. If you dont invite or allow contact, contact w ont happen. Some psychics that I knew in the past, refused to see anything visible like a ghost. They will only hear the words or hear the thoughts. Others are more open to seeing graphic images if it will help solve crimes, and stop the person responsible. But this is very advanced and it requires a very strong and courageous medium channel.

A technique of grounding that I read in James Van Praaghs book Heaven, is to imagine that there is a silver cord tied to your tail bone and ankles and that it goes down to the center of the eArth. It wraps around the core of the eArth. Feel how the cord becomes firm and holds you to the eArth. Feel that you are firmly planted on the eArth and held by this silver cord. Say to yourself, Im fully grounded to the eArth. At this time you can reiterate to the universe and to anyone else out there of your boundaries, and that you can break off contact at anytime if these boundaries are crossed or if it no longer feels safe.

Another technique of grounding is to imagine that you are wrapped in a cocoon of light, everything is filled with light and the light wraps around you. See t hat the psychic energy is contained in a column of light that passes through you directly into the ground, so that it doesnt stay in you or on you.

At the end of any conscious psychic session it is necessary to cleanse the energy off you. You can do this by first placing your hands palms down on the top of your head and imagine that you are wiping off thick clear jelly from your head, face and neck. You always clear off to the sides or downward. Imagine as you pass your hands over that a pure white light is entering into each area that your hands pass over.

This jelly that you cleared off with your hands, you now put your hands together and make an action like you are cleaning off crumbs from your hands with a movement that is directed down to the eArth. You can also flick your fingers downward as if you are shaking off water. StArt again with your hands on your chest, and imagine that you are clearing off this thick jelly, wipe your hands together down into the eArth.

Remember clean out to the sides and downward. Go back to your back, hips and buttocks, wipe off and clean your hands into the eArth, and then go back to your arms. Do one arm at a time. You can make a downward brushing motion with your arms and legs. What you say within is Thank you for this session. I no w chose to conclude this session and Im now clearing this energy into the eArth.

Psychic Readings

Psychics are people who allegedly have extraordinary mental powers or a sixth sense, generally known as ESP (extra sensory perception). Psychics look into the lives of people and predict future events. Derived from the Greek word psychiokos or psyche, which means soul or that which is mental, the word psychic is generally associated with fortunetellers. The word psychic was first used by William Crookes, a chemist for describing Daniel Dunglas Home, a famous magician (1833-1886).

Psychic reading implies the art of reading a person's mind. It involves use of intuition and deep analysis of a particular problem or a query tha t is posed. Psychics use several techniques like psychometrics, astrology, tarot, palmistry, telepathy, I Ching and so on to connect to a higher consciousness, which they believe will have answers to all questions. Psychic readings can relate to a person's present, past or future; his love life, relationships, ailments, stress and general success (or failure) in life. Psychic readers answer these questions and offer guidance and advice for leading a better life.

Psychic readers are people who have high levels of ESP. They master the art of automatic writing, channeling, clairaudience, the ability to hear or perceive sounds which are not normally audible, clairsentience (knowing about an event- past, present or future, through a feeling) and clairvoyance (extrasensory perception of an event whic h does not related to the normal five senses).

Divination is the art of offering a prophecy, prediction or foretelling the future via the occult, while hiero is the more down to earth act of automatic writing or drawing. Precognition involves seeing forward in time) and psychometrics derives knowledge about an object or a person connected with it by making contact. Psycho kinesis is the ability to move objects with the mind and remote viewing allows a psychic to describe a person, place or thing without being in their presence. Telepathy is simply mind-to-mind communication.

There are thousands of Psychics in the world. Several are willing to offer their services like psychic reading for a fee. A psychic's fee ranges from $1 per minute to $10-$15 per minute. Psychics can be contacted in person, by mail, phone or through e-mail. There are also several websites that offer free psychic consultation online. However, these free services are limited. Psychics are slowly finding acceptance there is a demand, in spite of the skepticism of some critics. However, there are fake Psychics also who claim to have great success with their powers, which is in fact obtained by cheating, so buyer beware.

Psychics provides detailed information about Psychics, psychic readings, psychic medium, psychic healing and more. Psychics is the sister site of Phone Psychics.

Clairvoyant Consultant

Do you want to know what the future has in store for you? Are you interested to know your luck when it comes to relationships, money, career and fortune? Whether you want to know if your spouse is cheating on you or if it is wise to stArt a new business in a certain locale, a clairvoyant consultant can help you.

A clairvoyant consultant is a person who has the ability to clearly see things and events that cannot be perceived by the different senses. The clairvoyant uses this ability to help those who are in need for answers to questions that are related to many aspects most especially love, money, and career. Nowadays, the number of clairvoyant consultants that provide readings continues to increase as more and more people find the need to understand some events in their lives that they could not easily figure out the answers to.

Aside from this, there is now a new trend on the Internet where anybody who is having software problems with his computer can seek support from a clairvoyant consultant instead of a technical support or a customer service representative. Some people prefer to call a clairvoyant consultant because they are fed up with technical support representatives who put them on hold for several hours and then pay fees only to be told later to reinstall the operating system. A clairvoyant consultant, however, can easily track down the source of the problem and give you possible solution.

Because of the power of the Internet, many clairvoyant consultants can now be easily found online. However, some are not very reliable. Take your time in searching and see if the clairvoyant consultant that you choose is a certified one so that you will not end up being taken advantage of.

Clairvoyant provides detailed information on Clairvoyant, Clairvoyant Mediums, Clairvoyant Readings, Psychic Clairvoyant and more. Clairvoyant is affiliated with Online Psychics.

Blame it on Mars

There are two facets for deficiency of sex; physical and mind. When either of them or any one of them afflicted, it causes a disease in the mind with respect to sex. This disease may be caused by Mars who is not well posited in a horoscope. It may not be to the extent of causing impotency. The mind and the body both which are otherwise required to do some useful works, waste time in too much material things such as looks, limbs and colour. A person is attracted to the opposite sex of either too young or too old. The colour , body pArts such as feet, limbs, back , breasts, face or anything for that matter becomes attractive including an awkward body .

There is no discretion in getting attracted. He stArts day-dreaming that woman in his bed. That a person is easily provocated by slightest distractions. Mars is the cause for such ailment. Mars holds the key to sexual drive. First Mars creates sexual urge in a person. Then he separates the person who is cause for such attraction . If separation is not there, at least He creates ill-harmony . Mars is masculine. Venus is feminine. Just as Sun and Moon form king-queen set up, Mars and Venus do it. A person needs Love.Since it is constructive. Because if one is satisfied in Love, that person concentrates on Work; Next on achievements.

When Mars and Venus are well-posited in a horoscope, the Coitus is complete. That is the greatest pleasure in life. When the Coitus is incomplete, the urge to get it , increases. This urge due to dis-satisfaction in Love, give rise to distractions as opposed to concentration. Frigidity, Premature-ejaculation , Even Sadism which are the causes of mental illness are the results of such in-completeness. Love, Work & Achievement in ones life go together. Reichs improvement to the Freuds Libido Theory holds good. This is again the process of achievement of Sat, Chit and Ananda ( bliss ). A good conduct produces a healthy mind; A healthy mind creates Pleasure (Ananda). For all this the blessings of Mars and Venus are necessary.

Adhyaya II, Verse 3 of Phaladeepika of Mantreshwara,[ Translated by S.S.Sareen reads like this : Mars is the Karaka of mental and physical strength, all that grows in the EArth, well-being of the brothers and sisters, cruelty, battle field, courage, enmity, kitchen fire, gold, kindred, weapons, thieves, enemies, zest, adultery, falsehood, manliness, large-heArtedness, wickedness, wound and injury, and army command.

In a Horoscope, when the Mars is ill-posited , such as dusthana, Kendras, since he is a natural malefic, or aspected by Rahu, Ketu and Saturn, and/or Mars aspecting these naturally malefic planets, theft, injury, wound, enmity, adultery, wickedness, mental and physical weakness, etc., show their presence predominantly in the life of that person. Mars being Karaka of sex, adultery and mental weakness, the person is always reverberating with the feeling of sex dreaming. There is no reason and rationality in falling to the opposite sex. One classic example of Yashodhara Charitre, the queen there falls for a servant who was a horse-cleaner.

The queen would tolerate even the beating by such a person. At that moment, the status and honour are given away for the sake of sexual pleasure . The person in whose horoscope, the Mars is ill-posited, such person always be thinking of the looks of physical body. On the positive side, Mars is kind, benevolent, a disciplinarian. To those who are disciplined in their life, or to those whom Mars is well-positioned, he yields easily and grants all the bounty to such persons. It is always advised to pray for Mars through his deity Hanuman or Skanda.. In Tantric Yoga, to increase Tejas, Mantra worship of Skanda, and Rudra , the terrible form of Shiva are suggested. Bhoo-Chakra or EArth Chakra represents Tejas. There is an example of Mars causing separation, though Mars is not a separative planet, unless he be in 12th.

Considering Horoscope of Sriramachandra In the Horoscope of Lord Rama Avatar, whose ascendant is Cancer, Mars is posited in 7th house of Capricorn. Even though Mars is not a separative planet [ Sun, Saturn Rahu, Ketu and Lord of 12th , brought about separation of Rama with his wife Sita, augmenting the power of 7th house, whose Lord is Saturn, a separative planet. Mars re-united Sita and Rama , through a war only (Mars content). Mars being the Lord of 5th house,[Scorpio is the negative house of Mars which stands for issues and children, for which Jupiter is Karaka, Lord Ramas sons are separated from him and even fought a battle ( Mars content ) with their father. [ For in-depth analysis , see, This Authors Book of Articles : Horoscope of Rama Avatar.

When Saturn causes separation, there is detachment , anguish, petulancy about the person separated. Even separation forgotten in case of separation by death. When Rahu causes s eparation, there is illusion or some other cause. Some other attraction may cause separation by forgetfulness of the dear ones. When Ketu causes separation, there is helplessness. This may be due to inevitable and near impossible situations such as paralysis of the body. But when Mars causes separation, there is more attachment, more attractions. The separation is caused due to attachment. The separation is caused due to reasons of too much attachment .

Mars is warmonger. Whenever he is strong and badly posited, there ensues war. The earlier World Wars indicate a strong Mars influence. A person is haughty, ferocious and would not listen to reason. What about President Bush of America ? A classic example of war-mongering. The very presence of a Mars person creates fire in atmosphere. Such a person creates anxiety neurosis, due to his Libido. The atmosphere as well as the associates feel the anxiety neurosis. Anxiety is created whenever the greed is not full-filled. The void created between the greed (id) and the achievement or full-fillment spreads in the atmosphere. Others become tense , feel not easy. Anxiety is created because, there is a gap between the work and achievements. The anxiety is also created whenever the body and mind act in different directions.

By understanding Mars, we can adjust our way of life and inculcate discipline. Mars is a hard master, but benevolent. He is kind and bountiful to the disciplined. Of course, there is a lack of discipline in this life full of struggles for material things. Worship Mars as directed in the other Article About Mars, follow discipline and meaning in every thing , you can see miracles in your life.

What's the Deal with Sedona Arizona?

A friend once told me of a place called Sedona, Arizona. She went on to say that Sedona was one of the five places on Earth to be of a sensitive hot spot of the world. Sedona is a hotspot for many of the Metaphysical world. Each person's experience will vary once there. For some they encounter vibrations, some are able to see visions, and some can speak to the other side.

Sedona is full of Psychics and mediums. The Cathedral Rocks is claimed for its Vortex. Some have stated that they have seen UFOs and Angels here. I've seen pictures and some of the rock formations look very magical. Some of the rocks have images of faces. I can't say for sure if it is what it seems to be, but many are drawn to this location after seeing the surreal pictures.

It is located south of Flagstaff. In the past many shamans and medicine men went to the Vortex for spiritual cleansing and other things. I've always been drawn to the things of this world that are often overlooked. There have been no official investigations to those that claim Sedona's magical nature.

It is documented that many of those that have come here, were healed from their ailments. Each person will come to a different conclusion. I think it's something that should be checked out fully.

The Ethics of Divination Choosing Your Seer

Professionals have their regulatory bodies and codes of practice, but individuals involved in mystical work are often self taught. This can leave them feeling they are in something of a black hole when it comes to dealing with the public appropriately. From the point of view of the client, it makes it difficult to know who to choose for a reading.

Ethical principles should guide all practitioners of the divinatory arts, whatever their field. Talking with a group of astrologers confirmed for me that the same types of problems face all readers whose clients have come seeking advice: dealing with difficult questions; the possibility of tragic events; what to do when people have depression or issues they cannot handle alone, and especially, avoiding dependency and the pressure it places on the practitioner. It is dependency on the reader that I will discuss here and how readers and their clients can avoid the problem.

Initially, I would say, be clear about motives. As a practitioner, I think the best position is to have a set of strong values with regard to your work that accord with your spiritual perspective. Being a person who tries to live her life by Buddhist teachings I ask myself, What is my motivation in doing this kind of work? The answer that initially springs to mind is to help others by giving them the insights gleaned from a reading, but it is more than that. It is to empower others to choose for themselves how to deal more effectively with problems in their lives by giving them information. Encouraging clients to become dependent on more and more readings is not ethical.

Client dependency usually occurs when people have a simplistic view of Divination. They believe that a reading reveals Fate a future written in tablets of stone that cann ot be avoided. They see themselves in the role of puppets on a stage where larger forces are pulling the strings. If they get the wrong answer to their queries then real stress can result and clients can pressure readers to tell them what they want to hear by asking the same question again and again, until they get the right answer. Its easy to forget how much the client invests in what a reader says and how careful readers need to be when faced with someone overwhelmed by life problems.

The Tarot cards show potentials, trends and possibilities for a person at any one time. At no stage does that person lose their free will. Readers need to show clients how they have choices and need to be proactive in their lives. If you follow this path, then X may occur. If you follow that path then Y is more likely. Does anybody get a new job or a new romance if they dont make some moves towards their goal? A good reading should show ways of making desirable changes.

If you ar e a client looking for a reader who can give you real insight into your possibilities then you should be looking for someone who has the insight to explain things in this way. At no time should you feel you have lost control of your choices. The purpose of Divination is to seek guidance not intimidation. Both seers and clients need to adopt an exploratory frame of mind in a reading rather than a predictive one and clients should ask, when they book a reading, How do you work? Is there only one answer to a problem or am I free to explore the possibilities open to me?

How to Use Zodiac Sign to Resolve Conflicts

The best way to understand the zodiac signs is to think of them as twelve separate energy fields in space that consist of either fire, earth, air, or water. This is easy to understand if you think of what happens when you pour water on fire. Obviously, you know that the fire goes out. In a sense, water has eliminated it. We all know that fire and water are not compatible.

It is helpful to know that all of us are made up of various combinations of fire, earth, air, and water energies. Our particular combination of these elements are revealed in our astrological birth chart. They reveal who we are as a human being.

For example, if you have a lot of fire signs (Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius) in your nature you would not get along with a person who was born with a lot of water signs (Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces). You would feel that the water person is too emotional, sensitive, and incapable of facing reality.

On the other hand, the w ater person would view you as blunt, impulsive, arrogant, and insensitive to their feelings. People encounter these kinds of dramas every day of their lives, but are not conscious of what is behind the conflicts they have with other people.

To be more specific, if you have your Moon in Cancer and your co-worker has his Mars in Aries, he will always be seen by you as a real jerk because his impulsive reactions irritate you emotionally. If you knew that these are the signs that are at the source of your problems, you could find a way to work with them. You would be able to talk about these differences and work out a solution. You might even find it humorous!

It is helpful to know that there are three fire signs, three earth signs, three air signs, and three water signs. When planets are found in these signs, they activate the energies of the signs. This is the valuable information that a skilled Astrologer can find for you. He can even tell you what your relationship would be like with any other person BEFORE you even get to know them.

If you practice looking at your relationship problems in this way, you will find answers that you never thought imaginable. All you need to do is explore these secret realms of consciousness and you will be well-rewarded with great insights into human nature.

Psychic Medium

Psychics are people who have mastered the art of using mental powers like ESP (extra sensory perception) to look into the lives and future of other people and predict future events. The word Psychic has Greek roots, derived from the word psychiokos or psyche, which means soul or that which is mental. The word is generally used to describe fortunetellers.

Many people have psychic abilities, or the abilities to look beyond the things that are seen or heard or sensed by normal human beings. People believe that this is possible by connecting with a higher power like spirits or souls of dead people. A psychic medium is one who tunes to this higher source for information and uses his or her intellect and intuition to analyze a particular situation or a problem. Psychic mediums act as an intermediary b etween a person in the real world and the soul of a person who has died.

Psychic mediums can connect with spirit guides, guardian angels, dead relatives of the client, and other supernatural beings. A good psychic medium should be able to interpret the sayings of all these beings and perform perfect analysis. Psychic mediums master the art of clairaudience, which is the ability to hear or perceive sounds, which are not normally audible. They are able to first sense the presence of a non-physical entity through spiritual communication, then convey this energy into the physical realm. This process is called mediumship.

There are thousands of psychic mediums in the world, some more active than others. Several are willing to offer their services for a fees ranges from $1 per minute to $10-$15 per minute. Psychic mediums can be contacted by mail, phone or through e-mail. There are also several websites that offer free psychic consultation online. However, these free services are limited. Psychic mediums are slowly finding acceptance by many people and there is a demand for popular Psychics, despite the skepticism of some critics.

Ganesh Loses his head

Out of his deep-seated anger against his father Saturn started doing penance (see Birth of Planets). His objective was to become more powerful than Sun, his father.

In Indian Puranas it was believed that by doing penance one could gain such powers that one could even topple the seat of Indra (Indian equivalent of Zeus).

During penance, one had to remain celibate, control all his emotions and subject the body to extreme suffering. In summer, one had to stand on one leg within a Ring of Fire or in winter stand neckdeep in cold water through the night. All the while chanting specific mantras, which could energize one's latent powers. Saturn went through this for years and finally success was his. While Sun gave life to all beings, Saturn became the dealer of Death. He had the additional power of bestowing instant wealth and prosperity and also the power of healing (by denying death).

Even after achieving his goal he continued to be a celibate and led the lif e of a hermit. Chhaya, his mother was alarmed. She literally forced him to marry a girl of her choice believing that the beauty of the bride would ensnare Saturn into domesticity.

No such thing happened. Saturn continued with his daily meditation after going through the marriage rituals with extreme reluctance only to please his mother. He remained a celibate, although technically married. It is not clear why he agreed to marry. While agreeing to his mother's entreaties he remained totally oblivious to the fact that in the process he was ruining the life of normal and healthy girl. Possibly he did not quite understand the responsibilities of marriage! His wife tried her best to win him over. She would bedeck herself with all kinds of finery and try to attract his attention. But Saturn did not even look at her.

One day she had enough of it and cursed Saturn saying Since you did not even bother to look at me, I curse you that from today whomsoever you look at will perish.

All this while, elsewhere other important things were happening. Mother Uma the consort of Shiva created a child from her mind. The baby was most gorgeous looking and Shiva made him the leader of his guards known as the 'Ganas'. Hence his name became Ganapati or Ganesh.

There is an Indian ceremony when a child receives his first meal of solid food. Family and friends are invited and there are festivities. It is known as Annaprashan.

The time came for Ganesh's Annaprashan. Uma in a joyful mood invited all the gods and demigods. Everybody was too happy to oblige. Everybody except Saturn. Remembering his wife's curse he did not turn up. Uma noticed his absence and sent her emissaries to fetch him. It was difficult to avoid her summons and reluctantly Saturn went. He decided that he would not look at the child and only join the festivities and bless him with his eyes closed.

Alas, that was not to be. Uma brought the child to him and wanted to know what he thought of him. Saturn told her that he did not want to see the child because if he did something terrible might happen.

Uma would hear none of it. She asked Saturn to look at the child and assured him that she herself would remain responsible for the consequences. What could Saturn do? He looked at Ganesh and as he did Ganesh's head dropped off his shoulder.

Uma was hysterical. There was general confusion. Everybody started crying. Only Vishnu kept him cool. He took one of Shiva's attendants aside and asked him go out and find the first living being lying with its head towards the north. He was to cut the head off and bring it as fast as possible to Vishnu.

The attendant found an elephant lying down with its head northwards. He chopped the head off and brought it to Vishnu and he set it on a Ganesh's headless body and Ganesh became whole again. Since then he became known as the elephant god.

Such were the powers of Saturn - made even more po tent by his wife's curse.

In Indian Astrology it is said that the house which receives Saturn's aspect (i.e., the house to which Saturn looks) is ruined and nothing good can be expected from it.

Here are the Annual Forecasts and suggested Fengshui & Crystal Remedies that you may need for the coming New Year 2006 : Bing Xu, the Year of the Yang Red Fire Dog :

CAREER :

A year which wi ll bring about a lot of changes. The changes could be good or bad. Good or bad, they will be rather extreme. The negative energies of the yester year have still not fully dissipated. Shed your loneliness and make new friendships. If you have been thinking of a job change, now is the time. Alternatively, if you have been planning for a diversification of your business, take your plunge. Anyhow, with or without your consent, there will be major transformations both in your personal and professional lives. But if you introduce planned changes intentionally, you have higher chances of turning conflicting energy into good luck. If you are in creative, advertising, writing or entertainment industry, you would progress greatly. Even otherwise, your path will be much smoother and results much faster. If you are posted abroad or simply travel overseas, look out for new money-making opportunities. You have to watch out for back-stabbing from people close to you. Be clear in your commu nications and clear any misunderstandings immediately. Focus on your long term goals, work hard, implement your good ideas, ignore provocations and preserve your patience. You are now better equipped to face challenges - face them bravely. You will finally get your recognition and reward. After getting them, be humble. Wear a Lapis Lazouli Crystal Pendant to take right decisions at the right time. If you are interested in part-time studies, go ahead, it will bring you sure success in the coming years.

You are offending the Tai Sui this year, so display the statue of a Three Generations Dragon Head Turtle alongwith a photograph of the presiding Year Authority of 2006 in the North West, to minimise the negativities of gossips and scandals. You should also wear a Fengshui Rabbit Pendant or place the statue o f a Rabbit in the East. (The position of Tai Sui corresponds to North West this year. Tai Sui is also popularly called as Grand Duke of Jupiter and is an intangible energy body of war-like nature that should not be disturbed.)

MONEY :

Reasonably good money luck. But you will have a tough time in guarding it though. Beware of large expenses, especially of health, shifting and vehicle maintenance. Spend conservatively and avoid risky high-interest deposits. Invest in health insurance. Keep off gambling and money markets.

HEALTH :

A lot of minor health problems related to abdomen, digestion, endocrine and respiratory systems. Some of you may end up with minor cuts and burns. Accidents could happen while travelling, resulting in minor injuries. Mental and physical stress could lead to sleeplessness. Meditate and excercise. You can also try and pre-empt the above by donating blood and having your teeth cleaned by a dentist. Minimise the health issues by ha nging a large sized original, natural Chinese Kalabash, in your bedroom, over your head.

LOVE :

Reasonble romantic luck this year. But be wary of fresh decisions though. Many of you will marry and settle down. But the romeos should be careful of over-spending their energies : they may live to regret later. Enjoy yourself, but dont cross the limits. If you are married, spend a lot of quality time with your spouse and family. Communicate freely and wisely. Do not allow misunderstandings to expand, but clear the conflicts immediately, then and there.

Beneficial Crystal : Red Jasper, for 2006

Good Relationship with : Tiger, Rabbit & Horse, for 2006

Conflict with : Dragon, Goat & Rooster, for 2006

Yin/Yang : Yang

A NOTE ABOUT REMEDIES : The above Analysis has suggested some Remedies/cures for reducing the impact of negative energy and has recommended certain enhancers for increasing and improving upon the beneficial energy. For the Remedies/enhancers to be effective, they should be cleansed, energised, blessed and programmed not only for the particular individual/family but also for the specific purpose/problem. They should also be placed in the indicated location. Any or all of these Remedies can be reused for the coming new years, the only thing is that some of them may have to be repositioned according to the specific new year.

How Tarot Cards Can Help You Really!

What Are Tarot Cards?

Made up of no less than seventy-eight cards, each deck of Tarot cards are all the same. Tarot cards come in all sizes with all types of Artwork on both the front and back some even make their own Tarot cards. The meaning and the message of each one of those seventy-eight cards, however, always remains the same.

Tarot cards were first used by the Celtic people more than two thousand years ago. Many believe that Tarot cards serve only to tell the future, but this is not true. When used traditionally, Tarot cards speak of the past and present, and are supposed to give clues and ideas about the future that you are potentially heading into.

Whats In the Cards?

Tarot cards are made up of four suits much like any regular deck of cards. In fact, Tarot cards have all the same values as traditional playing cards: ace through king for each suit. Only one extra card is added to the royal family in Tarot cards the squire, his position is just under that of the knave (also known as the jack).

The suits are as follows: wands, which in general speak of esoteric issues such as spirituality or creativity; swords, which speak of conflicts and tensions; cups (or pentacles), which are always about money; and cups, which deal in relationship matters and love. The other twenty-two cards of the standard Tarot deck are called the Major Arcana cards, and are all very specific. Cards such as the Devil, the Tower, and Death are in the Major Arcana.

How Could a Tarot Card Reading Actually Help Me?

When done traditionally, a Tarot card reading can put everything into perspective in a clear and understandable way. Every Tarot card reading is prefaced by a question, one that you do not have to reveal to your Tarot card reader but that yo u keep to yourself. Each card will come up in the past, present, or future position and will shed some light on the topic of your question.

Whether or not you believe in spiritual or esoteric things, or even in the Art of telling the future, a Tarot card reading can help you better understand your own thoughts. Youll realize potentially dangerous patterns in your life, and get a better understanding of self. Even the question that you ask in your mind can help you understand something about yourself, and in this way a Tarot card reading can truly help you.

Can Anyone Read Tarot Cards, Or Do I Have To Call Someone or Go Online? Anyone can learn how to read Tarot cards. There are many books available, both in online and physical bookstores that will tell you the meaning and message of each and every card. Every card in Tarot has a card-specific meaning, and a message or warning. The good news is, theres no secret about what these cards mean to convey so you, too, can learn how to read the Tarot.

Once you know the meaning of the cards (and its not something you have to memorize; its perfectly okay to keep notes by you when you try to give yourself a Tarot card reading), you can read the Tarot for yourself or for others. Any book you read about the Tarot will explain the spreads to use the way to lay the cards out to understand their meaning and placement in the scheme of your question.

An Ancient Mystery

Tarot cards are more ancient than religion. Tarot cards are older than most languages and most writing, and yet they are still around and are still being used today the exact same way they were used thousands of years ago. If Tarot cards didnt help people, why would they still be used and still be so popular?

I have been studying Tarot for seven years and have incorporated it in my dailly meditation routine. My purpose for this Article is to give others a free resource which can hopefully change their lives for the better.

Horoscopes Sagittarius

In this Ninth of a 12 part series on Horoscopes, we're going to look at the third of what are called the fall signs, Sagittarius the Archer.

People who are born between November 22 and December 22 are Sagittarians. Their element is Fire, their quality is Mutable, their energy is Yang, their rulers is Jupiter, their color is Purple, their gem is Turquoise, their main anatomical parts are the liver hips and thighs, their keywords are understanding, enthusiasm and exploration, their Tarot suit is Wands and their Tarot Major Arcana card is The Chariot.

Some famous celebrities who are Sagittarians are Brad Pitt, Ben Stiller, Lucy Liu, Britney Spears, Woody Allen, Kim Basinger and Walt Disney.

Those born under the sign of Sagittarius are called the gypsy, student and philosopher all i n rolled into one package. There is no other sign that is as focused on finding the truth and meaning of life itself. They have a burning need to understand everything. They thrive on the changes that this search can lead them through. Their life is literally one long adventure that is never ending.

The archer needs their freedom and independence. They never get tired of a change of scenery. Therefore, it is not uncommon for an archer to move several times in their lifetime. A home is just a temporary stopping point along their journey of life. It's very easy for them to miss an important date or deadline, but they are also great for getting a dull party going. Their lack of commitment can drive some people crazy. It's hard to tie the archer down to anything and have him commit. Many archers go through their life without ever getting attached.

That brings us to an archer in love, if there really is such a thing. Commitment? Not much of a chance, at l east not for a long period of time. If they ever do find their true love you can bet that they left a long line of lovers behind. The archer is great for a good time. If that's all you're looking for, then you have found the ideal partner. But if you expect that good time to last forever, you better look elsewhere.

At work, the archer is not the most dependable person because they tend to lose interest in a project very quickly. If you want the archer to perform well, put him in a think tank kind of environment. They are at their best when they have to come up with solutions. This all goes back to their unending desire to find the meaning of life. At work, they may simply have to settle for finding a better mousetrap.

Archers have a weakness to always having to be on the go. Because of this, they can wear themselves down quite easily. While they're doing this running around, they may end up gathering a number of projects to do. Eventually these can bec ome quite overwhelming, though they will never admit it. The search for truth and understanding is all that matters.

TAROT How Often Should You Have a Reading?

One of my FAQs is, How often should I have a Tarot Card reading? There is no general answer. It depends on your purpose - what type of reading you are having and the way you are using it. If you are looking for some indication about what is happening in general in the future, then you could have a reading every six months or so, or perhaps every year.

This kind of reading tends to involve a bigger spread or layout as Tarot readings are called, with more cards in it. This allows a broader view of trends that may be coming into play around you. It usually tells a reader whether you are in a time of change or of relative stability - whet her new stuff is going to happen or things remain very similar to how they are now. You don't need this kind of reading very frequently. It's big picture stuff and tends to change slowly.

If you are looking at one issue at a time, such as if you are going to get a new job soon, you can ask that question with a smaller kind of layout. A few cards or a Celtic Cross will be fine and will tell you what the possibilities are in that situation. The reading might tell you if you need to add to your skills and head off in a new career direction or search more thoroughly for a job than you are currently doing. If you asked about moving house it might say that moving would be disruptive at this time. The Tarot is always more than just Yes or No. Usually it gives you some advice or insight as well.

With a re ading based on one specific topic you can ask whenever you like as long as the topics are different. It's no good asking the same thing many times, because the answers just become confusing and often merely reflect how you are feeling that day. I always try to discourage people from becoming dependent on divination. Asking the same question again and again, trying to nag the cards into telling you what you want to hear is not healthy. Sometimes life doesn't give us what we want and we have to accept that and get on with things as best we can.

It's better not to ask trivial questions. I have found that the Tarot works best when you've thought out your question carefully and put it in a sensible manner. When you have an answer to a question, then it's a good idea to go away and reflect on it and see how t hat answer can help you with your problem. That is one of the strengths of the Tarot - guidance. It can help us to see solutions for ourselves.

By using the Tarot wisely, it becomes like talking to a good friend. The answers often open up new ways of looking at our lives that can help us bring out the best for ourselves in the future. Like all good friends it responds best if you take notice of the answers it gives.

A Brief Look At The Puranas (Origin of planets) Enjoy Indian Astrology

Astrology or Jyotish is an integral part of the Vedas. Though in the Vedas the emphasis is more on Astronomy, there was hardly any distinction between Astrology and Astronomy in the Vedic period. Both were studied to determine the auspicious timings for making offerings to propitiate the Gods. The Vedas, therefore, made detailed studies of the stars and the movement of Planets across the sky. Eclipses had to be timed because they signified evil portents. The obliteration of the luminaries, however temporary, could not be good for the mere mortals.

The stories regarding the birth of Planets are found in the Puranas, which are of a later vintage. There are 18 Puranas. They deal with the story of creation, the tussle between the Gods and demons, the various forms and reincarnations of Lord Vishnu and sometimes even the genealogy of kings on earth. The same story appears in several Puarnas and predictably, the versions differ from one another.

In the early stages, Puranas were also an oral tradition. While elaborate care was taken to preserve the integrity of the Vedas so that distortions might not creep into them through repeated retelling, no such precaution was thought necessary for the Puranas. The Vedas were sacrosanct. The Puranas were not quite as sacred.

Methods of memorizing the Vedas were very interesting. Let us assume that we have a sentence in the Vedas - God is good. (Actually, Vedas do not dish out such simple sentences. We have cooked up an example to illustrate a point). One student would memorize it as God is good. That is normal. We all go through a similar exercise the night before our exams.

But a second one would do it in a strange form:

Doog si dog - memorizing it backwards. There would be a third who would do something even more strange:

Go od di is sg go oo od.

This gobbledygook can be easily unscrambled to find the original message. There were many more ways; all were simultaneously practiced to ensure that if corruption took place in one it would be rectified by comparing it with the others.

In one method two sentences would be mixed up in a manner not entirely unlike sending scrambled digital packets across the broad bandwidth.

But enough of that! Let us go back to the story of the Planets as given in some of the Puranas. These were subsequently changed, modified, expanded until they became part of a rich folklore of India wit h all its sectarian bias and regional garnish.

So the stores we bring to you here originated in the Puranas but got extensively revised through successive retelling!

Enjoy your look into Indian Mythology!

Mars Attacks More Often Than You Think!

Okay, before you think that I'm just another alien freak, let me say that I don't mean that little green men from the red planet are on the warpath. The sort of attack that I'm referring to has to do with the very noticeable effects in your life whenever the planet Mars forms an Aspect to one of the factors in your birth chart.

Have you ever had one of those days where you seemed restless, perhaps even nervous, when you were impatient with others, when you couldn't sleep at night... and there didn't seem to be any obvious reason for your agitated state? Well, then you may well have been experiencing what is known to astrologers as a Mars Transit.

As you may already know, a birth chart is a map of the exact (to the degree and minute of arc) planetary positions on the date (and at the time and place) of your birth. One of the main techniques that we astrologers use to make predictions about the tendencies of a person's future is that of the so-called Transits. A Transit occurs when a planet on a specific day/time (for example, right now) is passing over a degree of the zodiac that is in a specific angle to one of the important factors in your birth chart. Let's get more concrete. Suppose you were born on November 8 1955, at 9:48 am EST (as I was). The Sun in your birth chart is (as seen from the earth) in 15 degrees, 25 minutes of the sign Scorpio. Now, on Nov 6, 2005, the planet Mars is in 15 degrees Taurus: exactly 180 degrees from your Sun. An 180 angle is known as an opposition, and is but one of the various Aspects used in astrological work.

In order to interpret such an Aspect, several things must be considered:

- The planet making the Aspect (in this case, Mars)

- The planet (or other factor) in the birth chart receiving the Aspect (the Sun, in our example)

- The Nature of the Aspect (in this case, of the opposition).

- Other considerations, such as the sig ns and houses these planets occupy, other Aspects that are present among the factors in the birth chart, etc.

In our example, we'll simplify. An opposition is regarded as an Aspect of tension, and often represents a challenge we have to face. As I write these lines, the planet Mars is in opposition to my Sun, and has been for several days - and I sure have noticed it! I've been busier than usual, teaching my students, working on different Internet projects, and have generally not had much time to just sit back and relax. This is often the case when Mars is in Aspect to your Sun.

Also typical of Mars is, on occasion, accidents, or experiencing pain of some sort. Well, a few days ago, one of my back teeth began to hurt. My dentist had warned me it was going to give me trouble some day (it already has several fillings in it), and I'm afraid that day has arrived. A toothache is a painful thing to have, as I'm sure many of you know, and in just a half hour, I'll be leaving for the dentist's to see whether the tooth can be saved, or must be extracted. In any case, the inevitable unpleasantness/pain associated with undergoing dental work is also typical of a Mars Transit.

Nervousness, impatience and impulsiveness often occur under a Mars Transit, so if you're experiencing such a time, I suggest you try to relax, take your time, drive more slowly than usual... for when under the influence of Mars, we tend to get ahead of ourselv es, and this can, depending on the circumstances, lead to an increased risk of accidents.

How can you know when a Mars Transit will be affecting you? Well, just about any good Astrology program allows you to calculate Transits. Our own Omnicycles program lets you do both your birth chart and Transits (in graph form) for the weeks/months when Mars will be showing its influence most strongly in your future. There are also some Astrology sites that let you calculate the positions of the planets for different time periods: use seach terms such as Astrology, on-line ephemeris (put this one in quotes), and Aspect in Google to find sites that offer such a service.

Despite the occasional upsets that Mars Transits can bring you, I should also mention the positive side. During these times, you will have more energy, and will no doubt be able to get a lot more done in your work, studies, etc. Take advantage of this trend: if you feel so worked up that you don't know what to do with all that excess energy, maybe it would be a good time to paint the porch, indulge in your favorite sport, or work it off in some other way. Just resist the temptation to do too much, or to tax your strength to the limit: be active, but don't take any unnecessary risks.

Since Mars can, in its worst manifestation, represent violence, we can be pretty sure of one thing - If those little green men from that neighbouring red planet ever DO decide to attack and wipe us all out, it will probably happen when Mars is in a rather bad Aspect to the Earth!

David E. Bolton, born in Baltimore, MD, began his astrological studies in 1977, in Kassel, Germany. He has been teaching the subject for over 20 years, and has been especially active in the area of research. His primary interest lies in the refinement of predictive techniques, as well as the redefining of traditional systems of interpretation. Working with the Spanish programmer, Juanma Puertas, Mr. Bolton developed the Omnicycles software program, that allows users to view the ups and downs of their lives in many different areas: love, finances, work, social life, and more. A free working demo is available at his website, http://www.omnicycles.com, so that you can test the program's effectiveness in your own life. Mr. Bolton is also a professional harpsichordist and language teacher. He now lives in Granada, Spain.
