What do the Stars Foretell?

My uncle was known for his famous short temper. He was owning a farm land in his village, and in those days, during the British rule in India, in 1930s or so, he was a young man,and was just then married. As per the customs and culture in those days, he was married when he was young; he was hardly 20 years old and his wife was only 16 years ! The farming work was done by workers and the only work left to my uncle was to inspect the field in the early morning, during his walk, come back home along with his elder brother and after an early lunch, settle down for a game of playing cards in the shaded portico of the house, where all other friends would join the play. It will continue for hours together, where betting used to pep up the interest in the game. Any external interference, other than regular refreshments supplied from inside the house, would be frowned upon.

There was a middle aged man in the village, who was declared to be affected mentally and who used to r oam the streets, without any work,used to come to see my uncle also. There used to be a high level of sympathy and tolerance for these kind of people in those days and he would be given free food, sometime money also- though he would not know what to do with that ! On this fateful day, this guy visited the house when the play was in full swing and where my uncle was steadily losing !

He was watching this for some time and abruptly asked my uncle, What is your birth star ? My uncle was visibly annoyed over this uncalled for intrusion. He glared at him and asked sarcastically, Why ? are you going to predict my future ?

The man replied in the affirmative. My uncle was really angry with him. he said If you can predict my future with my star, you can predict my star also . The man was unruffled and calmly told him that it was not a problem at all ! He went out to the street, looked up in the sky, in the broad-day light for a few minutes, and came back. He asked my uncle whether he was born under a particular star ! My uncle was taken aback! In fact, that was his birth star. He looked at him, unable to speak a word.

Thereupon, the man informed my uncle that his wife would die after giving birth to a male child, and the child would also die within a month. My uncle would marry for the second time but he would not be blessed with a child. His second wife also would die and he would marry for the third time; all this would be within a span of 7 years. After the third marriage, he would lead a comfortable life but would not be blessed with a child. At the fag end of his life, during his old age, his third wife would also die due to an accident ! Hearing this, my uncle became very agitated. Before he could get physical and beat him up, his friends stopped him. The game ended abruptly and my uncle was very depressed over this issue.

After an year, his wife delivered a male child. Within fifteen days, the child developed jaun dice and died within a few days. Medical treatment was very primitive in those days and in a village, one can not expect a learned doctor. Very sadly, his wife also died within a month.

Within one year, he was married again and his second wife, true to the prediction, died within 6 months ! My uncle was really alarmed over these happenings ! All his relatives and friends consoled him and after a lapse of one year, he was married , the third time ! At this point of time, he was only 30 years old. Remarriage was a common feature those days, especially due to the culture of child marriage. While the men could marry second time, the same was not extended to the women ! They were to spend the rest of their lives, once their husbands died !

My uncle lived a comfortable life and I used to visit his house frequently, since he was lonely and had no one else to spend time with.

At the age of 78, when his wife was 68 years old, they went to a temple one day for worshi pping. As they were walking, one of the trucks which was coming from the opposite direction, lost its control and came rushing towards them. My uncle jumped into a small pit nearby, by a reflex action. My aunt was stunned and stood there only ! The truck hit her directly and she collapsed in front of him and died ! We went for the funeral and tried to console my uncle. My uncle stayed with my elder brother till his end came, after 5 years. But then, the prediction had come true ! He used to feel sad most of the times in the memories of his younger days and we used to comfort him.

I recall this incident of prediction, by a mentally deranged person who had no back up information,though the prediction was totally true ! We have no scientific explanations for many things in our lives !

Vaastu Shastra Useful Tips

Vaastu shastra is an ancient science which helps one to get the natural benefits freely offered by the five basic elements of the universe in which we all live. These basic elements are Akash (SKY), Prithvi (EARTH), Paani (WATER), Agni (FIRE), and Vayu (WIND). Here are some beneficial tips for domestic and commercial vastu:

Domestic Vaastu :

1. Green or yellow and a sour plot of land is said to be favourable for buisnessman, commercial places and financial institutions.

2. Sweet, plain, fragment and a hard plot of land is suitable for building.

3. Slope towards north or east is said to be favourable. slope of the roof should be in north east corner.

4. An underground source of Water, a well, a pond or a tap with a flight of stAirs to the surface of Water situated north, east or no rth east corner of a plot is said to be auspicious.

5. A plot between two bigger plots is not said to be auspicious.

6. A rectangular, circular or gomukhi plot of land is said to be auspicious in domestic vaastu. On the circular plot the building to should be in circular shape.

7. Paths on north or east to the plot are auspicious.

8. A temple, pillar or a ditch in front of the building is not considered to be auspicious.

9. A basement should not be constructed under a resiential plot.

10. The height of the ceiling of every story should be of 12 feet. it must not be less than 10 feet.

Commercial Vaastu :

1. The owner of the commercial house should sit in south, west or south - western portion in such a way that he should be facing north or east.

2. The goods in the shop and showroom should be kept in south, west or north east.

3. No beam should be there over the cash counter, above the owner or the manager.

4. Entrance of the main office should be facing north or east.

5. Canteen should be built in Ageny Kona only.

6. Gates of all cabins should be open inwards.

7. Reception room should be near the entrance.

8. Decorative plants and flower pots can be planted in north, east or north - eastern part of the reception room.

9. Dining hall in a restaurant should be built in its western part. If necessary, it can be built in south and east also.

10. Room for patients should not be built to the south of the hospital.

There is a Mars in my Kitchen

When the Great Emperor Nala lost his Kingdom and wandering in the forests with his wife Damayanthi, due to cruel disposition of the planets in his horoscope, both the King and Queen had to beg and pray for food and cloth. Yet there is positive side in the game play of the planets. They will not kill us, unless destined. They make us to fight back.After all life is full o f fight; Full of activity. When the planets make us to loose everything, due to cruel disposition, they give us something precious in return, so that we sustain the fight and ultimately come back victorious; Getting , not only what we did lost,but also additional glory and honour for being truthful and not deserting our duties and Dharma. Accordingly, when the Kings named above , with one more addition of Bheema of Pandavas, have been driven to the state of beggars, The Mars came to the rescue. The Kings are Mars people. King Nala and Bheemasena of Pandavas were gifted with the Art of cooking. The Art of cooking is synonym with these two Great W arrior Kings. Both of them survived with this gift of Art of cooking in their time of distress. As quoted in my Article ,Blame it on Mars, Mantreshwara praises Mars as residing in kitchen fire. Unless the Mars bestows his grace, the food cooked will not get taste. Provocation of taste buds is by Mars. The fire in the kitchen is also due to Mars. Firstly Mars represents fire. Secondly the fuel we use consist of charcoal or fire-wood comes from EArth, who is mother of Mars. There is a ritu al under which little pArt of the rice food prepared in a charcoal or firewood stove, is taken by hand and put in the fire for the fire-god. Then only the food is offered to the other gods and later consumed. The Gas stove also consumes gas which is taken from the womb of the EArth, from where the Mars is supposed to have come from. Oven and Electrical stoves consume electricity, may need a different interpretation, since they do not come under direct EArth fuel. The food prepared i n Gas or Oven, is not tasty also. That is apArt, the Kitchen fire representing Mars, gives us the power to sustain the life. When Mars is in good position in a persons horoscope, that person is inclined to prepare the tasty food, even though he may be a good soldier or a Mars man brandishing muscles in other aspects. The food prepared by such person gets a special taste. Or when the kitchen is positioned in consonance with the Mars position, then also that place is blessed. That is why some eating places, restaurants, hotels earn money by getting name in their tasty foods.

Whenever there is in-digestion, the state of in-digestion it is called Agni Mandya, meaning slowing down of the fire in our stomach. Due to the ill-ness, the process of burning the food called Oxidation gets affected. In this process , the food we eat will not get digested, by the digestive organs in our body. This disease is due to Mars effect. Mars is bilious (Pitta) in nature. Whenever the PH factor is affected, by the action and reaction of the Hydrochloric acid in our stomach, The Pitta also varies. When this pitta is increased, a person looses balance of mind also.Recently it is found by researchers that the digestion of food is affected during winter, when the atmospheric temperature is down.Digestion and water borne diseases increase during this period.Thre are two good old Vritas called Chaturmasya and Dhanurmasa, which prescribe strict diet of easily digestible food and prohibit all the hard food. Mars is there stArting from preparation of food to till it is digested and energy to our body provided. While describing a house , one will say like this : Drawing Room, Hall , Kitchen, Bed room , Toilet etc., Drawing Room is the place , where the morning Sun enters first. Hall is the place which gives majestic appearance to a house. Kitchen is the place where the life and energy of the family members is being created and sustained . Look! There is a pattern. In Astrology, Sun is the signficator of First House. Jupiter and Mercury are the joint significators for the Second House. Mars is the significator or Karaka of Third house for energy and prowess, which incidentally is Kitchen . Energy in the body is obtained by a process of oxidation of cells. A cell is divided into two. Two becomes four. Likewise the process continues. In this process heat is generated and this heat keeps the body warm, while providing energy to the b ody. Agni,the fire god represents Mars, just as Yama and Varuna represent Saturn. The enormous and unlimited story of Agni is the story of Mars also. That may require lot of space for such description and uses,which is not the scope of this Article. Agni is soul of Mars.Agni in the form of Tejas also represents Sun.

A good wife is the one who provides good food to the family and good bed to her husband, thereby she dominates the family and controls her husband by gaining respect and command in the home. Both these are controlled by Mars. When Mars is in good position in horoscope, one can expect harmony in family life. Things are disastrous, if Mars is ill-posited. Food is prepared through Agni, the fire God represents Mars. A good sex is represented by Venus- Mars combination in a horoscope. Mars al so brings argument,competition and conflict on the negative side. When these factors enter kitchen, the ladies frequently quarrel. That is why kitchen is often called the battleground of a family. No two ladies agree just like clocks. A lady representing Venus wishes, she to be assertive and being possessive in the house hold. Halloween Among the Stars: The Seven Sisters Pleiades

Have you ever heard of The Seven Sisters, also known as the Pleiades? It is a small Constellation made up of seven Stars that is shaped like a cluster of grapes. While this Constellation is small, many people believe that the Pleiades has witnessed and foretells of many big things. Some people believe that a cataclysmic event, one that may have killed thousands maybe millions of people, happened while The Seven Sisters were in the sky. A few even believe that the world will end while The Seven Sisters shine overhead.

So what does this all have to do with Halloween? Well, if for some reason you found yourself on a deser ted island without a calendar, you could still celebrate Halloween because the Pleiades is always right overhead during Halloween.

But what truly makes The Seven Sisters a sinister set of Stars is the fact that not only is Halloween celebrated at this time, but so was an ancient Aztec ceremony involving a human sacrifice and the end of the world, a Celtic ceremony called Samhain when evil spirits would invade the earth and a Mexican holiday called Days of the Dead (da de los muertos). Ancient temples in Greece were built to be lined up with Pleiades. And so was a major Aztec temple. The Pleiades is even mentioned in the bible, in the book of Job and has a place in Brahman faith as the sparks from a god of fire. The set of Stars is so widely mentioned and so often associated with death and destruction, that there are some who suspect that the Pleiades were overhead when a terrible event happened on Earth.

No one is quite sure what this event was, though some suspect that it may have been the great flood that is talked about in the Bible or perhaps the cataclysmic event that lead to the sinking of Atlantis. The Aztecs believed that the world had not been destroyed just once when the Pleiades were overhead, but rather four times. And that if a human sacrifice was not made once every 52 years (when their two calendars coincided), that the world would be once again destroyed while those seven Stars looked down.

So this Halloween, when you are taking your kids out trick-or-treating or on your way to a costume party, make sure you stop for a moment and look up at the Stars. See if you can locate the Seven Sisters overhead in the night sky. You might also want to stop and wonder what horrors that little cluster of Stars has witnessed, and if they might witness a few more sometime in the future.

God the Astrologer

A frequent device in scripture is to put the most important item first in a phrase or a list. To observe the oceans move by the power of the moon, then declare that people are unaffected, is folly. To know that global conditions vary by the phase of the moon and claim it has no effect on people, is folly. So wherefrom came the idea that astrology is sorcery? It is a tribute to the dawn of the Aquarian Age, we don't execute astrologers for sorcery. So where did this link come from in the carefully cultivated Christian mind?

A story might explain it: In a large village, long ago and far away, there was a council of elders which pretended to wisdom. They were very jealous of a man who was truly wise and lived alone on the outskirts of town.

Being wise men of liesure they loved to spy upon the wizard. The council met weekly and discussed their wizard observations. In time the council decided the wizard was getting too much attention and probably offending God in th e process.

The wizard was executed and the people lived happily ever after. To this very day, all the descendents of all the people of that village, know that wise men are wizards and ought to be put to death, as they did in Russia and China last century. Today, when an all knowing Christian tells me astrology and numerology are sorcery, I know who his/her parents were.

Is Astrology a True Science?

Learning your horoscope can have a tendency to freeze or weaken your willpower and paralyze you with its inaccurate messages. Karma rules the brainless stars and your fate. We are not made in the image of astrology; we are made in the image of God.

Is astrology a true science? Yes it is, but there are few scientists who understand it. You have to be a pretty highly advanced being to be able to tell the karma of a person and his future. And you can make tremendous karma when you influence a person to believe things that you believe to be true, for if you are an astrologer, for every mistake you have made in your astrological chart you are going to take that karma of the individual. This is not a simple business, so if you consider yourself to be an astrologer, start to consider what you are saying as one astrologer told a friend, you will be dead in ten years. Can you imagine a mistake like that? If you tell people that all kinds of terrible things are going to happen to them, it will happen because none of us are positive enough or fearless enough to reject negative ideas or suggestions. We are afraid of the unknown and when someone begins talking about the unknown cautioning us, we are afraid.

You must understand that our whole galaxy or present universe is moving at incredible speeds. Therefore, how are you going to find out the exact planetary conjunctions of a child at birth? Only a master can through his intuition. You see if you are off more than a few seconds you can not have an absolute exact condition.

Spiritualizing astrology is a very complex subject. If your body is very strong and your mind is powerful, and certain destructive vibrations radiate from the stars due to past karmic blueprints in your subconscious mind, and they begin to shed their rays upon you, there will be no reaction at all because you will be impervious to their rays, your shield is strong. How do you develop this shield? Suppose your body and mind are weak at that particular moment and your biorhythms are low and your immunity is weak due to certain transgressions such as wrong eating, lack of exercise and sexual abuse. What will happen? The cosmic rays will have great power to affect you.

There are certain outward protections, such as astrological bangles that have a specific weight, consisting of three metals combined in a pure form of silver, gold and copper. Certain sizes of diamonds can also be effective. Unfortunately, if you are not spiritually strong the radiation will start affecting you in a destructive way when using large stones as a shield. If you are spiritual, you will absorb the radiation and the magnetic shield will protect you. The whole idea is that if you do not protect yourself constantly when you are healthy those karmic laws begin to come to collect bills. Children should learn these laws to be able to take care of themselves. You must reprogram the computer of your subconscious mind with strong positive affirmations.

Astrology is a scientific study of the astronomical influences which comes at certain periods of your life according to the planetary conjunctions of certain planets and time specific magnetic fields, attraction and repulsion. And you are born at the very specific time where specific conjunctions are there and which guide your entire life if you do not control your destiny by willpower.

He predicted the colossal draught which is happening in parts of the world today and all the starvation in Africa. You see, the future is already made, the movie is finished. You let yourself sink into the misery of the experiences of life because the moment you suffer physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually, you start fighting like a wild animal; then you begin to remember who you are. The soul does not evolve, it must be reawakened. The quicker you learn how to control your destiny the less suffering you will have. As long as you question whether or not you will win or lose your battles in life, you will keep on losing. Dont stand still and dont go backward. The horoscope tells the basic underlying psychological and emotional drives of the individual. If you desire to pursue astrology further after using this book, there are many excellent books on the market. I've been studying astrology for over twenty years and believe me, you can never learn enough about astrology. If you don't believe in astrology, investigate the subject and you will find there's a lot of truth to it.

Now, here's how this method is used to pick up and meet single women in nightclubs. Of course, you can use this method in any setting or situation. The best time to use this method is after you have made initial contact with a woman and towards the end of the evening. In conclusion, you're going to run into some women who don't want any part of astrology. You'll just have to try and convince them to try it before knocking it. A Tale of Two Enemies : Sun and Saturn

In astrology Sun and Saturn are considered enemies of each other. The gods or the demi-gods cannot behave like mortals. So we have to analyse the concept of enemies in a context and appropriate meanings. The Sun is truth, Sun is Knowledge; Sun is light. It is the place where our ancestors would ultimately go. After vasu and rudra , where our fathers are believed to have attained the status and receive pinda from us, the ultimate loka or state comes Aditya . Vasu rupe~, Rudra rupe~ and finally Aditya Rupe~.. The Sun is the embodiment of all gods. He is the ultimate. He is the destroyer of sins.

The concept of sin is co-terminus with the life we live in this world. The past actions which are sinful, in our past lives give the results of miseries in this present world. The miseries depend upon the degree of sins we committed in our past lives. There two gods who are attributed with the quality of destroying ones sins. Firstly- Lord Shiva. Secondly the demi god Sun. It is easier to pray Lord Shiva and wash out our past sins. But the Second way is tougher one. Adithya is not easier to please. He is a strict disciplinarian. In the first and easier way of pleasing Lord Shiva, there are chances of we committing sins again. But the Second and tougher way is final.

Step by step one attains the state of Aditya and his material life comes to an end, which is the goal of all truth seekers. It is the freedom from bondage of birth and re-births. The knowledge and beliefs are so strong and deep rooted in our minds, in our actions, we refuse to believe the ultimate truth. We are programmed t o take shelter under clouds, false roofs, such as a frog taking a shelter under a serpent. This state of mind and our actions are created and developed by Saturn. Saturn is the representative of our false shelter. He creats maya through Rahu. All the dirt, whether in mind or in our physical presence in this world, is the abode of Saturn. He will not direct us to the path of truth, knowledge and god. He creates falls, pits and blindness, so that we eternally revolve round and round this maya. This maya is so powerful and strong, even the mighty Sun cannot escape.

So the two planes of operation of the fields are quite different. The concepts of Sun and Saturn go directly opposite to each other. Both act according to our past actions or karma. They are not enemies of each other. Because no two gods have the feelings of hatredness or love. They are above all those trivial behavior. They are above such meanness. They act according to their natures. Both are necessary embo diments of this worldly life. Sun is the enemy of ignorance, false-hood, indiscipline, and maya. The Saturn is the enemy of light, discipline, truth and knowledge. The Saturn is the creator maya.

All these qualities are the embodiments of mortal lives in this world; and definitely not the qualities of either the Sun or Saturn. In this way both are supplementary and complementary to each other. They are not enemies; But the gods acting in tandem, in harmony. One takes up where the other ends. They are the enemies of certain actions of mortals. It is the mortal to choose his action. If one sincerely attempts , penaces and disciplined it is the Saturn who is more pleased and he withdraws the curtain of Maya from ones path of seeking truth. Then the Sun condones and destroys the earlier sins and shows the path of liberation through his light.

Is Zidane Insane? An Astrological View On A Moment Of Lunacy

Over 1 billion people around the globe, and 69,000 people in a German stadium, looked on in disbelief as the French team Captain in the World Cup Football Final committed an act of sheer madness. Zinedine Zidane, was playing the final minutes, of the final match in his professional career, when he violently Headbutted his Italian opponent, Materazzi, and got sent off in disgrace. What should have been, win or lose, his moment of professional glory has instead gone down in history as his moment of shame - one which will haunt him forever.

Many of the headlines gracing newspapers and media reports across the World on the subject include the words 'an act of Lunacy.' And from an astrological perspective, indeed it was. The word Lunacy comes from the Latin word for the Moon, Luna.

Zinedine or 'Zizou' as he is affectionately known was born on June 23, 1972 in Marseilles, France. Not only is he a lunar ruled, Cancerian but his Mercury and Mars also occupy the sign. H is Moon is in the water sign of Scorpio in mutual reception with his Mars, therefore acting as final dispositer for his Sun. In other words this is one highly emotional man. My guess would be that the inflammatory comments of Materazzi must in some way have been directed either at Zidane's family, or his nationality, for no other planetary placements are more hypersensitive, defensive and reactive to this type of personal insult than these.

With the Sun, Moon and Mars linked in this way his normally controlled, enigmatic, family-man persona belies an aggressive, impulsive streak which can appear to emerge suddenly but which, on closer examination, is invariably linked to the lunar Cycles. A connection between weather patterns, tidal rhythms and menstrual Cycles have long been recognised and accepted as part of the close relationship between the Sun, Earth and its satellite, the Moon. So, can Zidane excuse his behaviour by blaming the decision of FIFA to stage the World Cup Final less than 36 hours before a Full Moon - I think not. And neither should people who possess close links between the Sun, Moon and Mars in their charts be fearful that they might suddenly He adbutt someone one day! No, to explain, but not excuse, Zizou's behaviour we have to see the Moon for what it is - a cyclical trigger for impulses which at other times might lie dormant or find positive, rather than negative expression in his life. Just as when he Headbutted his opponent in Turin on 24 October 2000, transiting Venus was again in close aspect with transiting Pluto at the time of this match. These two planets link in with Zidane's Moon and were themselves in a tense alignment at the time of his birth.

The position of the Cup Final's transiting Moon (and that of 2000) in relationship to the planets in his horoscope alert us to a flashpoint. With the aid of astrological advice, Zidane could have been warned that he was more susceptible to acting on his propensity to 'lose it.' Forearmed with that information he might have been able to arrest his emotional reactions and perhaps have altered the course of World Cup history. In this way he would have been tru ly collaborating with his fate, rather than being a victim of his periodic 'Lunacy'.

8. Re-organize.

Full Moons Skeptics are Wrong
